Job Description

The Senior Operations Manager will oversee the validation and buyoff of HW/Equipment for New Product Introduction (NPI) mass production release, driving HW issue resolution without quality issues. They will manage a team to support NPI execution, focusing on quality, sample, correlation, and customized service. The role involves managing operational KPIs, acting as a HW buyoff interface, and fostering collaboration with various teams. Additionally, the manager will focus on team development, cost reduction initiatives, and ensuring project deliverables are met. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Must have:
  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor engineering.
  • Experience in manager role for minimum 5 years.
  • Strong experience with NPI qualification process.

Job Details

Responsibility

  • Oversee GNTC-KL NPI WT and FT HW/Equipment validation and buyoff for NPI mass production release, drive HW issue resolution without quality issue.
  • Manage GNTC-KL team to support NTI/NPI execution on Qual, Sample, correlation and NPI customized service with 7x24hrs NPI floor as well as NPI equipment maintain.
  • all operational KPI to meet requirement, like equipment utilization, cost, OTD on HW release and sample delivery.
  • Act as the HW buyoff interface to build collaboration with business line, factory and multiple engineering team on key NPI deliverables and escalation management.
  • Team skillset evaluation and development, team competence improvement. Best practice, lesson learn and engineering expertise bringing up.
  • Drive Cost reduction, implement cost reduction opportunities, manage capex to meet business requirement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor WT and FT engineering environment. Minimum 5 years+ experience in manager role.
  • Strong experience with NPI qualification process, reliability and HW buyoff. Strong knowledge on Test cell and HW issue resolution, like ATE, Prober, Handler, Load board and Probe card.
  • Ability to manage multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, ability to deliver under pressure and in tight timeline.
  • Excellent communication skills with different people from different countries, good command of written & spoken English.
  • Team player with a strong level of commitment to project deliverables. Self-motivated, independent, result-driven, be a trusted advisor.
