Job Description

Frontier is an independent video game developer and publisher known for crafting immersive gaming experiences. This Senior Producer role on Planet Coaster 2 involves leading production and coordinating all areas of game development. The successful candidate will help deliver exciting new features and content, manage a small production team, optimize processes, and ensure the game vision is realized on time and within budget. The role requires an experienced producer with strong communication and Agile process understanding.
Good To Have:
  • Experience in being the lead producer on a game project.
  • Previous line management experience including development of more junior producers.
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
Must Have:
  • Coordinate development for new content and features, reporting to the Executive Producer and Game Director.
  • Help the development team achieve goals and deliver content on time and to a high quality.
  • Proactively identify, prioritize, and schedule work based on project roadmaps.
  • Run sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Create and optimize processes and pipelines for efficient development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the development team and external partners.
  • Provide visibility and effective reporting of project status to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
  • Provide leadership and management to a small team of Producers, including feedback, mentoring, and career development.

WHAT’S THE ROLE?

As part of our continued post-release nurture plans, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Producer to join our fantastic team on Planet Coaster 2, the ultimate theme park creation experience. You’ll get to work closely with our talented development team and help deliver exciting new features and content to our passionate community.

The successful candidate will be required to work in our Cambridge studio a minimum of 3 days a week.

The Senior Producer will lead production and co-ordinate all areas of the game development process, helping developers to deliver the best possible product, and managing a small production team. You’ll work closely with multiple disciplines to ensure the successful realisation of the game vision to time and budget

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Co-ordinating development for new content and features, reporting to the Executive Producer and Game Director
  • Helping the development team to achieve their goals and deliver content on time and to a high quality
  • Proactively identifying, prioritising and scheduling work based on project roadmaps.
  • Running sprint planning, standups, reviews and retrospectives
  • Creating and optimising processes and pipelines to ensure efficient development
  • Maintaining strong relationships with the development team and external partners
  • Providing visibility and effective reporting of project status to stakeholders
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks proactively
  • Providing leadership and management to a small team of Producers, including effective feedback, mentoring and support with career development to maintain an engaged, productive and inclusive team environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Experienced senior game producer with multiple shipped titles on PC or Console, including full game lifecycle from conception to release and beyond
  • Ability to build trust and rapport and communicate confidently and effectively
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to motivate different teams and disciplines effectively
  • Used to managing multiple tasks in parallel and able to balance competing requirements
  • Solid understanding of Agile processes
  • Skilled in helping teams find solutions to complex problems
  • Confident working in a fast-paced environment and able to react positively to change
  • Excellent organisational skills with a systematic and methodical approach.
