About the team and the role: 

As a Senior Product Designer on the Shipping Design team, you’ll craft elegant and simple customer experiences that solve complex customer problems at a global scale. You’ll be part of a highly collaborative and supportive user experience team who work across global buyer and seller experience focused products. We’re seeking a designer equally strong across interaction design, visual design, and prototyping. An understanding of how to operate as a designer in a fast paced and highly cross-functional environment is critical for success in this role. 

What you will accomplish: 

• Design and prototype cross-platform experiences that are easy to use, beautiful, and delight eBay’s customers 

• Create user scenarios, storyboards, journey maps, wireframes, Lo-Fi / Hi-Fi designs and prototypes throughout the full product development lifecycle 

• Explore a wide variety of design concepts to find the best solutions, balancing the business objectives with the customers’ needs 

• Collaborate and drive strategic alignment with cross-functional partners 

• Drive discovery through workshops and design sprint facilitation

• Maintain a strong attention to detail while also thinking end to end and designing for scalability

What you will bring: 

• 5+ years of professional experience designing for software or consumer products within complex company ecosystems, demonstrating a hands-on approach to delivering end-to-end customer experiences 

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Passion for craft, leveraging competitive analysis, user research, visual design, interaction design, prototyping, storytelling, new tool and technology experimentation

• Strong understanding of the user-centered design process working collaboratively with other Designers, Product Managers, Product Marketing, Business partners, and Developers across the product ecosystem

• Expert in design and prototyping tools such as Figma

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
