Senior Product Line Purchasing Leader

Your Role

• Early alignment of category strategies with the global product roadmap strategy
• Act as interface into the Aptiv Global Supply Organization (GSM). 
• Drive all supplier/material/service cost related activities throughout all project phases.
• Obtain initial quotes from suppliers and interact closely with Aptiv Category Organization to get target cost established.
• Support target price definition and supplier service level during project pursuit.
• Coordinate with Site Departments members to ensure flawless program execution relative to supplier topics (e.g. Purch. Order, samples, PPAP, Design change, Launch).
• Identify new suppliers and new technology for innovative products.
• Identify measures to meet/exceed material cost assumptions within project.
• Secure activities relative to supplies and suppliers in accordance with Aptiv GSM rules.
• Assure compliance with local procedures and work instructions
• Drive SCM synergies between regions and various OEMs for global Radar platform
• Insure SCM category strategies for global Radar platform are understood by Global Product Organization and Global Engineering Services functions
• Ensure execution of global Radar platform MCIP initiatives
• Point of contact for SCM on the global Radar platform

Requirements

• Master’s Degree from commercial or/and technical university
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
• Good knowledge of  MS Office, SAP
• Proficiency in English
• Good skills in negotiation and communication

Preferred

• Min. 5 years automotive business experience in Purchasing and/or Engineering environment
• Highly motivated / capable of operating with minimal guidance
• Experience with large automotive supplier
