Job Summary

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be crucial in transforming the ratings & reviews experience, integrating social media and e-commerce to help consumers create and consume high-quality content, driving significant business value for our clients. Your role involves defining strategy, leading product discovery, and launching scalable solutions across product lines.

Must Have

  • Define and execute product strategy and roadmap (1-2 years).
  • Conduct market and customer research to identify problems.
  • Lead product discovery and early adopter programs.
  • Partner with sales/marketing for competitive analysis and go-to-market.
  • Translate business requirements into features and backlog items.
  • Own product build-out, market-testing, and enhancements.
  • Evangelize product releases with data-driven narratives.
  • 5-8+ years in product management (B2B SaaS, ecommerce, social media preferred).
  • Strong strategic thinking and technical understanding of product development.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and data analysis skills.
  • Adaptability and agility in product development.
  • Experience improving user-generated content quality, conversion, or time-on-page.

The Ratings & Reviews consumer experience team at Bazaarvoice aims to offer an innovative shopping experience to consumers. This involves helping them generate engaging, high-quality user-generated content that brings significant business value to Bazaarvoice's clients.

As a Product Manager focusing on one of Bazaarvoice's Consumer Experience charters, you will be crucial in the research, planning, and delivery of products that integrate social media, e-commerce, and ratings reviews. Your main goal will be to transform the ratings & reviews experience by enabling consumers to create and consume compelling, high-quality user-generated content, thereby driving business value for Bazaarvoice's clients. Your primary responsibility will be to understand the needs of our end customers, internal business teams, and development teams, and then launch scalable solutions across all our product lines to meet those requirements.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Defining a strategy and creating a 1-2 year roadmap for your assigned areas.
  • Knowing the pulse of the market and field including sales, implementation teams and your customers. Incorporate market and customer feedback into the roadmap as appropriate.
  • Discover and validate problems in the market that Bazaarvoice can uniquely solve through research and experimentation..
  • Lead Product Discovery and early adopter programs to ensure product success and build iteratively.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to perform competitive analysis, develop product positioning and messaging, and pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  • Interpret high level business and product requirements and create feature requirements, user stories and relevant product backlog items.
  • Own the build-out of the capability, market-testing, validation, go-to-market, success narrative and further enhancements..
  • Evangelize your product, your product releases with data-driven narratives to the field teams..
  • Work with the technical service teams and product knowledge team to build internal training and documentation..
  • Communicating across teams and Clients to ensure consistent backlog alignment; Ensuring that all engineering teams within your purview have everything they need to size, accept and execute on work..

The must have skills that matter:

  • 5-8+ years’ prior experience in product management, preferably in B2B SaaS or ecommerce marketplace or social media domains..
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to develop a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with the company's goals..
  • Solid understanding of the technical aspects of product development to effectively collaborate with engineering teams and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate a product vision to cross-functional teams, stakeholders, marketing teams and customers.
  • Ability to conduct market research, interview customers, analyze competitors, and identify opportunities for product innovation..
  • Comfortability to analyze data and make decisions based on data insights by defining key product metrics, tracking performance, and using data to drive product improvements and optimizations..
  • Adaptable and agile in their approach to handle change, ambiguity, and quickly adjust strategies based on market feedback. API/ E commerce experience is a good to have.
  • Demonstrated experience using quantitative and qualitative data to drive improvements in user-generated content quality, conversion rate, or time-on-page.
