The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for the success of strategic Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) within the Azure Edge + Platform group's Driver Servicing team. This role involves end-to-end driver/firmware servicing, working on cutting-edge devices and scenarios. Responsibilities include project scope definition and planning, coordinating dependencies across projects, representing customer input to technical and business teams, delivering comprehensive project plans, and conducting regular meetings with senior executives. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing large-scale products, solving complex problems, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience with low-level hardware scenarios and operating system fundamentals is essential.

As a Senior Product Manager of the Device Servicing team working on end to end driver/firmware servicing, you get to work on lighting up some latest and coolest category of devices and scenarios, you get to go deep on some super technical areas, you get to collaborate with many technology teams (device teams, Dev Center, Data Science, Fundamentals and etc), and you get to engage with external partners (Silicon partners, OEMs and end customers). Qualifications

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects

Preferred qualifications 

  • Demonstrated track record of driving and managing large scale products and features across multiple releases
  • Able to solve hard problems quickly, effectively, independently and in collaboration with development and quality engineering
  • Effective interpersonal and cross-team collaboration skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Program Management of low-level hardware scenarios
  • Deep knowledge of operating system fundamentals, especially as they relate to device drivers

Responsibilities

  • Deliver success in our most strategic set of Objectives and Ker Results (OKRs)
  • Project scope definition and planning through delivery of assigned product and related product releases
  • Ensure the oversight and coordination of dependencies across the project and resolve or escalate conflicts
  • Provide customer input represented in both technical and business terms with descriptive requirements to ensure the value of the project is realized
  • Deliver, document, and circulate an end-to-end plan, including activity, dependencies, timing, and ownership. Follow up with specific owners to deliver components of the project on-time
  • Conduct regular meetings with the senior executive bodies to inform and alert them of any issues arising from the performance of the individual projects within the portfolio to assure the on-plan usage and consumption of resources and funding, and to highlight any variances
  • Lead reviews of any significant initiatives, projects or programs that are challenged and provide recommendations as to whether it should continue, be significantly changed, placed on hold or discontinued
  • Arrive at sound decisions that generate results, uses data and other inputs to make decisions, owns decision, and takes accountability for work using strong organizational and analytical skills
