About the Team

The Project Management team is part of Cognite's Global Delivery organization. This entity is truly international, with offices in Austin and Houston (Texas), Oslo, and Tokyo. Our mission is to deliver successful, flexible, and scalable projects that promote the adoption of our Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) product. In short, we bring previously invisible data to life, enabling operators and executives to transform heavy-asset industries to be more efficient and sustainable.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager at Cognite, you will lead teams responsible for driving our clients' digital transformations. Your mission: help them unlock their data and reveal its full value.

To succeed in this role, you will often need to be the first to take initiative and propose creative solutions. Your missions will benefit from an approach that is both structured and driven by a strong passion for creating client value through advanced technologies.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will take charge of larger projects or a portfolio of projects. Your team will consist of Data Scientists, Solutions Architects, Data Engineers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Together, you will design, develop, and implement operational digital solutions across different industrial sectors. Throughout this adventure, you will benefit from unique opportunities to learn alongside talented individuals with inspiring backgrounds. When delivering Cognite solutions, you will be responsible for the success of end-users, who will often contact you first. You will collaborate closely with our clients to maximize the benefits of Cognite Data Fusion.

Faced with unexpected challenges or a certain ambiguity, your perseverance and adaptability will be key to ensuring daily operational success.

Your responsibilities also include:

• Business development and creation of new opportunities
• People management, if you are currently or aspire to become a People Manager
• Liaising between clients and Cognite's engineering and product management teams
• Advising our teams on development priorities, based on your in-depth knowledge of client needs
• This role requires excellent communication skills, an aptitude for collaborative work on complex issues, as well as a good understanding of advanced technologies.

We believe that most of these elements should match your experience:

• Master or Bachelor in engineering, computer science, business, mathematics or similar field
• 6 to 10 years of experience in management consulting, digital transformation or software
• A passion for driving change and client success
• A taste for challenge and a desire to set ambitious goals to foster innovation
• The willingness to take initiative and responsibility for building strong teams and lasting client relationships
• Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment
• Experience in industrial digitization or product development projects
• Familiarity with IoT, cloud solutions or machine learning models is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage a complex stakeholder landscape
• Motivation to travel if necessary
• Experience in project management in fast-growing companies is a plus
