You will be part of our Ports, Marine and Coastal department

As our new Senior Project Manager for Port and Marine Water Construction Projects, you will be part of a highly recognized team characterized by strong collaboration with ports, contractors, and renewable energy developers worldwide. You will be part of a diverse, international department across Rambøll Denmark, working on large marine projects in all phases – from planning over detailed design to execution.

We have a strong pipeline of national and international marine projects focusing on future-proofing the maritime world. We are currently leading several large port projects in Denmark and abroad, ensuring the green energy transition and promoting blue infrastructure.

Our department works on a wide spectrum of marine projects, from preliminary studies and port planning to design and supervision. Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Take responsibility for the implementation of projects as project manager/technical lead
  • Drive the development and innovation of our structural skills as a team effort
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships
  • Ensure the highest quality level in our deliveries
  • Bring our competencies into play in the market
  • Facilitate close collaboration with customers and stakeholders with a focus on value creation
  • Function as a role model for our less experienced colleagues

About you

From the moment you start at Rambøll, we will support your personal and professional development as you grow with the company. For this role, we expect your starting point to be:

  • Education as a civil engineer with a focus on civil engineering structures or similar
  • Preferably 10+ years of documented experience with the design of marine structures, such as quays, jetties, berthing structures, pile decks, caissons, block walls, dolphins, etc.
  • Knowledge of port equipment, mooring systems, and navigation
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant design codes and design methods
  • Experience with complex multidisciplinary marine projects, such as ports, flood defense, artificial islands, or immersed tunnels
  • Excellent communication skills – English at a professional level is required; Danish is highly appreciated, and additional language skills are a plus
  • Thrives in a dynamic work environment with many stakeholders
  • A strong commitment to sustainability and curiosity to explore and apply green solutions
