Job Description

Thales, combined with Imperva, is the largest application security vendor globally, developing cybersecurity products for major companies. They seek a Senior Software Engineer to develop Imperva’s Account Takeover Protection and Client-Side Protection SAAS offerings. This role involves creating enterprise-level solutions, working with new technologies, and contributing to a fast-growing team dedicated to digital security and trust in billions of digital interactions.
Must have:
  • Develop near real-time systems processing large event volumes globally.
  • Solve challenging scalability, reliability, and performance problems for SaaS products.
  • Engage in enterprise-level AWS based distributed SAAS solutions development.
  • Lead projects from requirements to completion, including design, implementation, and testing.
  • Utilize cloud technologies and modern programming/deployment practices.
  • Set standards for best practices and code quality.
  • Collaborate, demo, and share work with team members, product managers, and stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of new technologies to improve products and infrastructure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of programming experience in Java, JavaScript, Python, or RUST.
  • Strong understanding of software development fundamentals.
  • Experience with cloud-based software (preferably AWS) and microservice architecture.
  • Experience designing and developing highly scalable SAAS systems.
  • Experience with data analysis using distributed SQL/NoSQL DBs systems.

Thales an Imperva Company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team to assist in developing Imperva’s fast growing Account Takeover Protection and Client-Side Protection SAAS offerings.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Take an active role in developing a near real-time system capable of processing large volumes of events across the world
  • Solve challenging problems in terms of scalability, reliability and performance for SaaS products used by millions of users worldwide.
  • Engage in development of an enterprise-level AWS based distributed SAAS solutions
  • Lead a project from requirements to completion, through design, implementation & testing

Minimum Qualification

Total Target Cash (TTC): 115,032.69 - 156,728.04 - 196,247.29 CAD Annual

This reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee’s career path history, competencies, skills, and performance, as well as the company’s annual salary budget, the customer’s program requirements, and the company’s internal equity. Thales may offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
