Dream Game Studios, a division of Dream Sports, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Backend. This role involves designing and developing distributed, resilient backend systems for mobile games. Responsibilities include ensuring security, performance, and scalability of services, owning end-to-end development phases, and managing infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with Gameplay, Design, and Production teams. The company aims to create engaging, visually stunning, and technically outstanding games.
Must have:
- 4+ years experience in Java or Go
- Strong system design skills
- Knowledge of high-load server architecture
- Proficiency in design patterns, algorithms, data structures
- Experience with web frameworks, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, databases
Good to have:
- Experience with AWS/GCP
- Effective team collaboration
- Prior Agile experience
- Gaming industry experience

Role
- Design and develop distributed and resilient backend systems capable of handling large-scale traffic and concurrent users.
- Ensuring security, performance and scalability of services
- Owning end to end responsibility of design/architect/develop/deploy phases
- Owning infrastructure and monitoring for the services used and deployed by the team
- Collaborating with the Gameplay, Design and Production team
Must Have
- 4+ years experience in writing code in a high-level programming language like: Java, Go
- Strong system design skills backed with analytical and problem-solving ability
- Good knowledge of server architecture with high load and multiple concurrent users
- Proficiency in design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
- Hands-on experience working with web frameworks, RESTful APIs, GraphQL and relational and/or NoSQL databases
Good to have
- Experience working with the AWS/GCP stack
- Effective collaboration across and within teams
- Prior experience with Agile Methodologies
- Experience in Gaming Industry
- Passion for making and playing games
