Job Summary

Dream Cricket is seeking a Senior 3D Artist to create high-quality 3D assets optimized for real-time rendering in console-quality mobile games. The role involves collaborating with the Art Director and Game Designers, ensuring visually stunning assets while maintaining technical efficiency, and working within game engine constraints like Unreal Engine or Unity. The artist will also be responsible for creating cinematics, providing guidance to junior artists, and participating in planning and review sessions to ensure timely delivery and seamless integration with animation and VFX teams.

Must Have

  • Cinematics video creation experience inside the game engine
  • Proven track record of shipped titles on PC, console, or mobile platforms
  • Strong expertise in 3D modeling, sculpting, texturing, and baking using tools like Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop
  • Deep understanding of PBR workflows, UV unwrapping, normal maps, and texture baking
  • Experience with game engines like Unreal Engine 5 or Unity, including material setup, asset integration, and lighting
  • Excellent grasp of anatomy, proportions, topology, and game-ready optimization techniques

Good to Have

  • Experience in modular environment design and level dressing
  • Familiarity with shader creation or blueprint scripting in Unreal Engine
  • Experience with Video editing tools like after effect, final cut pro
  • Passion for video games and awareness of current visual trends in the industry

Job Description

Role

  • Create high-quality 3D assets (characters, environments, props, weapons, etc.) optimized for real-time rendering.
  • Collaborate with the Art Director and Game Designers to ensure art supports gameplay and storytelling.
  • Develop assets that are visually stunning while maintaining technical efficiency (poly count, LODs, UV layout, texel density).
  • Work within the constraints of game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity, adhering to performance and memory limitations.
  • Ability to create cinematics video using game engines like Unreal
  • Ensure consistency of art style and quality across the 3D pipeline.
  • Provide technical and artistic guidance to junior and mid-level artists.
  • Participate in planning sessions, asset reviews, and sprint reviews to ensure timely delivery of assets.
  • Implement feedback quickly while maintaining the integrity of the art style.
  • Work closely with the animation and VFX teams to ensure assets integrate seamlessly into the game.

Must Have

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the gaming industry as a 3D artist.
  • Cinematics video creation experience inside the game engine
  • Proven track record of shipped titles on PC, console, or mobile platforms.
  • Strong expertise in 3D modeling, sculpting, texturing, and baking using tools like Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop.
