Job Summary
ByteDance seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Edge Cloud Platform, a Kubernetes-based distributed system managing hundreds of PoPs globally. The role involves enhancing workload lifecycle management, multi-tenant isolation, and performance optimization within this cloud-native platform serving internal and external users. Responsibilities include analyzing and solving complex technical problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing and enhancing microservices using Kubernetes, gRPC, REST, and other technologies, and ensuring end-to-end responsibility for production environments. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience with Kubernetes, virtualization, or networking, and a proven track record in large-scale distributed system development.

Job Description
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $137200 - $330000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
