Motive is seeking a Senior Strategic Sales Development Representative (SDR) for its Enterprise segment. The role involves building a world-class sales organization by creating a best-in-class Sales Development Organization. SDRs are responsible for navigating organizations to set qualified meetings for Account Executives. Key responsibilities include cold calling, emailing prospective clients, qualifying leads based on predefined criteria, collaborating with the sales team on engagement strategies, uncovering prospect priorities and challenges, suggesting appropriate products/services, setting qualified meetings, and continuously learning about products and industry trends to achieve lead generation and appointment-setting targets. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, a quick learner with sales instincts, and possess a strong work ethic and a team-focused mindset.

About the Role:

How do you build a world class sales organization? By creating a best in class Sales Development Organization. We are actively looking to bring on the best and the brightest professionals to join our SDR team as a Senior Sales Development Rep for our Enterprise segment and help us transform one of the most important industries on the planet.

As a "SDR" you’ll be navigating organizations to set qualified meetings for our Account Executives. We need strong communicators, who are quick learners, and have a natural sales instinct to be the first impression on the front lines at Motive. We strive towards providing a best in class sales experience for our prospective customers, and you would be the voice of Motive on how we can help connect the world's trucks, and automate the world's freight.


What You'll Do:
  • Contact prospective clients through cold calls and emails
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for engaging and nurturing leads.
  • Uncover prospects' priorities/challenges and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Set qualified meetings between prospective clients and Account Executives
  • Continuously learn about our products, services, and industry trends to effectively communicate with prospects.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly lead generation and appointment-setting targets.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelors Degree Required

  • Must be located in Austin, TX or Nashville, TN

Pay Transparency
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. Motive offers benefits including health, pharmacy, optical and dental care benefits, paid time off, sick time off, short term and long term disability coverage, life insurance as well as 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The on-target earnings (base pay + commissions) for this role:

$85,000 - $85,000 USD
