Job Description

As a Senior VFX Artist, you will produce visual effects for games, including gameplay and UI, using particle systems, animated sequences, and advanced materials. You will prototype and implement FX based on concept art, work with UI/UX in Figma, and organize asset flow in Unity. Collaboration with art and programming teams is key to creating and optimizing FX textures, materials, and shaders for performance.
Good To Have:

  • Knowledge of writing shaders in CG or other shading languages
Must Have:
  • Produce visual effects for games (gameplay & UI)
  • Prototype and implement FX from concept art
  • Work with UI/UX in Figma; export assets to Unity
  • Organize asset flow, naming, and prefabs in Figma/Unity
  • Collaborate with Art Director on FX art direction
  • Work closely with art and programming teams
  • Create FX textures using simple geometry/UVs
  • Optimize FX for frame rate and memory
  • Produce optimized materials/shaders
  • 5+ years in game development
  • Strong artistic and technical background
  • Experience with Unity Editor or similar game engine
  • Proficient in Unity, Figma, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Premier, Maya
  • Basic shader and C# coding knowledge

You can use particle systems (from explosions to flares), dazzle the world with animated sequences, and work your magic with advanced materials, create a UI of any complexity and make it live and amazing. In this role you will

  • Produce visual effects for our games, both for gameplay and UI.
  • Follow concept art, storyboards, and written descriptions in order to prototype and implement FX in our games.
  • Work closely with UI/UX directly in Figma and export assets to Unity.
  • Organize Assets flow, correct naming and prefabs structure in both Figma and Unity.
  • Collaborate with the Art Director to help create and maintain FX art direction for our games.
  • Work closely with the internal art and programming teams.
  • Create FX textures, using simple geometry and UVs.
  • Optimize FX for frame rate and memory usage.
  • Produce optimized materials/shaders.

What we’re looking for

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in the English language (both written and spoken).
  • Positive, make-it-happen attitude.
  • Proactive working style, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and short production pipeline life-cycles.
  • Keen to learn new technologies and gain new skills.

Your experience

  • 5+ years of experience in game development.
  • Strong artistic and technical background (e.g. animation, game development, graphics, etc.).
  • Experience using Unity Editor or similar game engine.
  • Proficient skills with various software - Unity, Figma, Adobe Photoshop, AfterEffects, Premier, Autodesk Maya.
  • Basic shader and C# coding knowledge.
  • Experience with Houdini and writing shaders in CG or other shading languages is a plus.
