Job Description

Starcom is seeking an SEO Account Manager for P&G, an independent division of Publicis Groupe. This role involves leading day-to-day account management and client servicing for a multi-market European SEO and GEO strategy. You will act as the primary SEO contact for internal and external stakeholders, coordinate efforts across regions, adapt global strategies to local market needs, and report on performance across traditional search engines and emerging platforms. The position requires managing strategic delivery, contributing to integrated SEO and GEO programs, and redefining the client's approach to search in a dynamic landscape, including collaboration with global Performics teams and participation in strategic resets informed by data from Google and LLM platforms.

The Client

Joining PG One, an independent division of Publicis Groupe, means working in a data-led, AI-driven, and strategy-first environment. Based in our dedicated Chancery Lane office, we service over 200+ brand/country combinations for P&G’s household name brands.

At PG One, you’ll collaborate directly with our client, moving quickly from concept to execution and seeing your impact in real time. As P&G’s lead performance agency, supporting brands like Braun, Gillette, Venus and Oral-B, you’ll help shape strategy for the world’s largest advertiser working with colleagues and clients in Europe, Asia and North America.

The Role

As the SEO Account Manager for P&G, you will lead day-to-day account management and client servicing across a multi-market European strategy. Acting as the day-to-day SEO contact for both internal stakeholders and external agency partners, you will coordinate efforts across regions, adapt global strategies to local market needs, and report performance across both traditional search engines and emerging platforms. You’ll manage strategic delivery, contribute to integrated SEO and GEO programs, and help redefine the client’s approach to search in a rapidly evolving space. This includes working closely with global Performics teams and playing a key role in half-yearly strategic resets informed by data across Google and LLM platforms.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional SEO Leadership: Lead the execution of a pan-European SEO and GEO strategy using the UK as a strategic base, supporting both regional direction and local market execution.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as the day-to-day client lead, managing briefs, translating ideas into solutions, and building strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Integrated SEO + GEO Strategy: Support the rollout and evolution of an integrated SEO and GEO search strategy, with a focus on reporting and insight generation across Google and emerging LLMs.
  • Workflow & Project Ownership: Manage SEO project timelines, priorities, and deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards across deliverables.
  • Process improvement: Partner with the Account Director to refine workflows, optimise resource allocation and scale best practices across teams.
    Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with multiple teams including internal Publicis agencies, external partners, and local/global Performics colleagues to ensure consistency and strategic alignment.
  • Cross-channel integration: Collaborate with Paid Search and Planning teams to embed SEO insights into wider performance marketing programs.
  • Performance Reporting: Deliver clear, actionable reporting that demonstrates the impact of SEO and GEO efforts on organic visibility, engagement, and ROI.
  • Search Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging trends and contribute to biannual strategy refreshes—redefining best practices in the era of AI-powered discovery.

Qualifications

Key Requirements

  • Experience: 2–3 years’ hands-on SEO experience, ideally within an agency environment supporting enterprise-level clients.
  • Client Management: Proven ability to lead client conversations, understand briefs, and deliver strategic and practical solutions that align with business goals.
  • Strategic Thinking: Track record of crafting multi-layered SEO plans that integrate with broader marketing strategies; proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Learning Agility: Passion to stay abreast of algorithm updates, AI-powered search advances and emerging digital trends - and translating them into client advantage.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Proven ability to manage and motivate junior staff, run trainings, and confidently present to clients and senior internal teams.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable working across diverse teams, time zones, and stakeholders—including internal departments and third-party agencies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to work with technical teams and effectively communicate roadmaps back to clients on delivery.
  • Cross-Market Strategy: Experience supporting regional/multi-market SEO strategies, balancing local execution with global direction.
  • Analytical Skills: Comfort with data analysis - pulling insights from performance dashboards and search data, working with teams on setting forecasts, measuring ROI and reporting to stakeholders.
