Job Description

The Service Delivery Technician provides physical support of data centre equipment in a critical environment, engaging with customers, employees, and vendors. This role involves installations and troubleshooting, requiring a high-energy, organized individual with a strong sense of urgency. Team members are expected to be open to learning and growing in a fast-paced environment, dedicated to their team, customers, and IMDC’s vision. This is a full-time shift position.
Must have:
  • Provide smart hands support for any request requiring actions within the data centre space including server/network equipment racking, cabling and provide hands-on support for customer requests, on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Monitor service management ticketing system for tasks as assigned throughout your daily shift. Tasks can include customer requests, escorting, troubleshooting tickets, material handling, inventory management, and customer hardware and cabling installations.
  • Proactively support the safety of the environment & occupants and ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.
  • Proactively identify issues and take the needed steps to resolve them.
  • Shipping and receiving: inbound and outbound shipments, dock space management, package delivery, customer service and will assist with recycling efforts.

Job Details

The Service Delivery Technician provides physical support of data centre equipment in a critical environment. This role has a high level of engagement with our customers, employees, and vendors at all levels and will perform requested installations and troubleshoot tasks. We are looking for team members who are open to learning and growing in a fast-paced and evolving environment. High-energy, organized, a strong sense of urgency and dedication to your team, our customers, and IMDC’s vision is required to be a success in this role. This is a full-time shift position.

Your role in our mission:

  • Provide smart hands support for any request requiring actions within the data centre space including server/network equipment racking, cabling and provide hands-on support for customer requests, on-the-job training will be provided.

Valued skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar Service delivery/ IT/ Technical support environment
  • Specific Data Centre experience would be highly advantageous
  • Experience of working with SNOW or similar ticketing system
  • Attention to detail - ability to understand and follow a documented process
  • Organization & prioritization - following processes and managing your time with minimal supervision to get work done efficiently and on time.
