Services Engineer
We are currently looking for a highly motivated
Services Engineer to join our Services team in France. The position will be based at the Adtran France office, Paris–Saclay, Villebon sur Yvette.
The Services Engineer will act as primary technical contact to designated customers for Service related activities.
The key responsibilities of this role will include
- Provide expertise on Adtran equipment, DWDM, Network Manager firstly; Access Ethernet Synchro secondly.
- Product introduction to customers:
- Technical interface as primary or secondary engineer for product homologations, proof of concept, advanced demos and trials.
- Product integration in customers network:
- Commissioning to include configuration of equipment, establishing DCN for network management, full functional testing.
- Supervise or work with Adtran Service Partners when required.
- Provide onsite or remote technical support when required, working solely or under direction from Product experts.
- Create detailed documentation and acceptance package for the projects completion
- Product trainings
- Deliver customer trainings to customers or partners based on the product documentation provided.
- Network life-cycle support:
- Perform network upgrade, network audit
- Quality correction
Other tasks and responsibilities
- Attendance and participation in technical and operational meetings.
- Prepare, lead and document product presentations.
- Case management for specific project phase.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
- A good understanding of Optical transmission, DWDM systems including ROADM and Optical amplifiers and the relevant supervision tools
- Optical path testing, loss and dispersion measurement
- Transmission testing
- Able to generate and interpret OSA, OTDR, BER test results.
- Dealing with customers, able to work with some technical or business pressure
- Good communications skills, written and spoken
- Fluent French and English language essential. Other languages an advantage
- Demonstrable experience in telecommunications transmission technologies with an operator or vendor
Education / Qualifications:
- Bachelor / Master degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification
- Full driving license

- Role requires territory mobility and will require some weekend and out of hours work
- A willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays
- Customers are mainly located in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and some in North Africa.

Ingénieur support (Service Engineer)
Nous recherchons actuellement un(e) Ingénieur support motivé(e) pour rejoindre notre équipe en France. Le poste est basé à Villebon-sur-Yvette.
L’ingénieur support est l’interface technique des clients sur les activités liées aux services.
Les principales responsabilités de ce poste sont les suivantes :
Fournir une expertise sur les équipements Adtran : WDM, Network Manager principalement et Access Ethernet, Synchronisation en second lieu.
Les principales activités de l’ingénieur support sont :
- La mise en service et intégration des produits comprenant la configuration des équipements, les tests fonctionnels complets, la documentation technique des projets clients.
- La présentation technique et réalisation de tests dédiés pour les clients ou partenaires
- L’assistance technique sur site ou à distance, aux clients ou partenaires de service.
- La formation technique des clients et partenairess
- La supervision et assistance des partenaires sur terrain.
- Analyse et support lors d’upgrade ou de migration des réseaux
Lieu principal de travail : bureau d'Adtran France en région parisienne (Villebon-sur-Yvette (91-Essonne))
Les clients sont situés en France, en Belgique, aux Pays-Bas, au Luxembourg et certains en Afrique du Nord.
