The SharePoint Tester will design and execute test plans and scripts for SharePoint applications, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. They will validate SharePoint features like document libraries and workflows, and test custom solutions developed using SPFx or other tools. This role involves collaborating with developers and stakeholders, identifying and tracking defects, and generating test reports to contribute to quality assurance best practices. The candidate should have a strong understanding of SharePoint architecture and experience in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of SharePoint testing experience.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate and Office 365 integrations.
  • Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA).
Good to have:
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SPFx.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Job Description

Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for SharePoint applications.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

Validate SharePoint features such as document libraries, lists, workflows, permissions, and web parts.

Test custom SharePoint solutions developed using SPFx, Power Automate, or third-party tools.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure test coverage.

Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRAAzure DevOps, or Bugzilla.

Conduct UAT support, test data preparation, and environment setup.

Generate test reports and contribute to quality assurance best practices.

Required Skills

3+ years of experience in SharePoint testing (SharePoint Online, 2016/2019).

Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, features, and user roles.

Experience with manual and automated testing of SharePoint applications.

Familiarity with Power AutomatePower Apps, and Office 365 integrations.

Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA, Azure Test Plans).

Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SPFx is a plus.

Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
