TransUnion is a leading credit reference agency offering specialist services in fraud, identity, and risk management, automated decisioning, and demographics. We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our growing Development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Laravel, Vue.js, MySQL, and MongoDB, and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Laravel and Vue.js, architecting and managing databases with MySQL and MongoDB, collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing clean and efficient code, debugging, and optimizing application performance. The role involves participating in code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of unit testing
  • Understanding of DevOps principles
  • Exposure to UI/UX design
Must Have:
  • 3-5 years of experience in software development
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in Laravel and Vue.js
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and responsive design
  • Solid understanding of MySQL and MongoDB
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency with Git
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

What You'll Bring:

We’re looking for a Software Developer to join our growing Development team. 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Laravel, Vue.js, MySQL, MongoDB, and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications that meet our business needs.

Day to Day You’ll Be:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using Laravel and Vue.js.
  • Architect and manage relational and non-relational databases with MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement new features.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Debug and optimize application performance across platforms.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven expertise in Laravel and Vue.js.
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
  • Solid understanding of MySQL and MongoDB database design and performance optimization.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and modern web development workflows.
  • Proficiency with Git and version control best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of unit testing and automated testing frameworks.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and deployment strategies.
  • Exposure to UI/UX design principles

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
