Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented student with testing experience to join our Enterprise Search team. This role combines data analysis with a quality assurance mindset. The primary responsibilities include analyzing system/user behavior for optimization, designing and analyzing tests for new features, identifying anomalies, and supporting senior analysts with data investigation and pattern recognition. The student will also learn to transform raw data into actionable insights and conduct trend analysis.

The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze system/user behavior to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Design and analyze tests for new feature rollouts and optimizations.
  • Identify anomalies, document findings and create test cases.
  • Support senior analysts with data investigation and pattern recognition.
  • Work with teams to implement data improvements and validate results.
  • Learn to transform raw data into actionable insights, conduct trend analysis to distinguish between trends and one-off issues.

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have proven experience demonstrating the following skills and behavioral traits:

  • Able to design effective testing coverage for applications.
  • Proactive: Notices system behavior and communicate enhancements, problems to solve.
  • Identify leading indicators before problems become visible.
  • Attention to Detail and Curiosity: Understand the -why-.
  • Communication skills: Work with stakeholders to capture feedback for system enhancements.
  • Being able to explain to stakeholders why certain problems in the data/system aren't worth pursuing.
  • Being able to communicate timelines and expectations to team members.
  • Prioritization judgment: understanding constraints and focusing effort on changes that will have real impact.
  • Statistical thinking: Understanding variance, seasonality, and what constitutes a significant change when looking at data.
  • Risk assessment and bias toward action: Balance the effort to report/solve a problem rather than escalate, trusting their abilities to implement safely.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Active student pursuing a Bachelor, Licenciatura or master’s degree in computer science, Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related engineering field.
  • Tech skills Proficiency in Programming Languages: .NET, Angular, SQL. Power BI.REST Services.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (both verbal and written).
  • Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Costa Rica.
