Job Summary
As a Software Engineer in the R&D Services team at ByteDance, you'll build and enhance development infrastructure, including Cloud IDE, repository management, and CI/CD systems. You will contribute to building advanced intelligent data platforms to optimize user experience and develop ByteDance's staging environment for various products, scaling distributed applications and working with technologies like Kubernetes, RPC, various databases, and big data tools. Responsibilities include building monitoring and alert systems and researching and implementing cutting-edge computer engineering technologies. The role requires backend design and/or infrastructure experience and proficiency in various programming languages.
Must Have
- Backend design and/or infra experience
- Experience with Android/Java/Objective-C/Python/Golang
- Build development infra (Cloud IDE, CI/CD)
- Build intelligent data platforms
- Scale distributed applications (K8S, RPC, DB, MQ)
Good to Have
- Full-stack development experience
- Experience with private/public cloud, storage systems, databases, big data

Job Description
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $145000 - $250000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
