Job Description

This job implements tasks within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), follows internal conventions and procedures, makes technical decisions, collaborates with peers and project leads, and contributes to code and design reviews. The role involves developing and maintaining high-performing, reusable Swift/SwiftUI code, staying current with mobile technologies, and reducing technical debt. It requires working independently with minimal supervision to define, design, implement, test, release, and support software applications, collaborating with product owners, engineering managers, and QA to deliver innovative solutions.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision in a team to define, design, implement, test, release rollout and support software applications for PayPal
  • Work with product owners to crystallize the technical needs during grooming and planning meetings
  • Work with engineering managers, engineers and QA to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs
  • Follow coding standards and guidelines with attention to performance, scalability, and availability
  • At least 2 years of iOS development experience
  • Solid Swift/SwiftUI programming skills
  • Solid understanding of mobile UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Experience building iOS applications connected to RESTful APIs
  • Practical knowledge on iOS architecture

  • Follows well-established internal conventions and standard procedures
  • Understands internal standards & processes an applies them to make technical decisions
  • Collaborates with peers, manager, and project lead to gain understanding of tasks and review solutions
  • May contribute to code & design reviews

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Practical knowledge on iOS architecture
