Job Summary
Wizcorp is seeking an Effects Artist (VFX) to work on next-generation console projects. Depending on your background, skills, and experience, we will introduce you to the optimal position within our team. This is an opportunity to work worldwide as an artist for our group company, which has offices in 21 countries. By interacting with and participating in art production of various styles from around the world, your own experience and skills will be further enriched. You will be involved in all aspects of effect design and production for game development, including conceiving and producing effects in line with game design in collaboration with planners and programmers, effect production (simulation, texturing, modeling, setup, etc.), and technical support for effect production.
Must Have
- Conceive and produce effects in line with game design, in collaboration with planners and programmers
- Effect production (simulation, texturing, modeling, setup, etc.)
- Technical support for effect production
- Over 5 years of practical experience in programming, art, and tool development, not limited to game development
- Experience working with DCC scripting tools
Good to Have
- Experience creating art using VEX or Python on Houdini, or optimizing art production
- Experience creating art using DCC scripts, or optimizing art production
- Experience working on graphics production related tasks using scripts on game middleware like Unity or Unreal Engine

You will be involved in all aspects of effect design and production for game development.
Specific duties include:
- Conceiving and producing effects in line with game design, in collaboration with planners and programmers.
- Effect production (simulation, texturing, modeling, setup, etc.).
- Technical support for effect production.
Qualifications

- Over 5 years of practical experience in programming, art, and tool development, not limited to game development, with extensive technical experience.
- Experience working with DCC scripting tools.

Onboarding Process ๐ด๐ผ๐
We strive to make the onboarding process as smooth and worry-free as possible.
After accepting the offer, we will send you the labor contract and work rules.
Ideally, we would like you to join within one month, but this can be adjusted depending on your current employment situation.
On your first day, your manager will introduce you to team members and set up a review schedule for your six-month probationary period. We will provide all necessary support to help you successfully complete your probationary period.

Benefits and Welfare
๐ Work Location and Hours ๐
โฒ Flextime System
Everyone has their own way of using creative time, and you know best what works for you.
You will work 8 hours a day (excluding a 1-hour break) from Monday to Friday, with core hours from 11:00 to 16:00. The distribution of hours outside of core time is up to you.
๐ Flexible Work Location
Wizcorp implements full remote work, and most employees work from home. Of course, you can also work at the office if needed, using meeting rooms and hot desks.

The salary range for a Senior Character Artist is as follows:
Annual 4.8 to 9.6 million JPY (Monthly 400,000 to 800,000 JPY)
The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant's experience and evaluation during interviews.
The first six months will be a probationary period, but the salary will not be affected or changed during this time.
๐น Salary Increase and Bonus ๐น
- There is an annual performance review, and salaries are reviewed based on experience and contribution to projects.
- Salary increases are typically made around October-November each year, based on the budget and financial forecasts for the next fiscal year.
- No bonuses are provided.
