The Data Processing Unit (DPU) team brings together state-of-the-art software and hardware expertise to create a highly programmable and high-performance ASIC with the capability to efficiently handle large data streams. As a manager for the support and sustaining function within the Data Processing Unit (DPU) group, you will be responsible for building and leading the support team. This would entail building a deep understanding of the DPU architecture and the systems built using the DPU, understanding the end-to-end customer workflows, and building the debugging skills required to troubleshoot field issues. You will be responsible for managing the field incidents, maintain dashboards for active/dormant cases, tracking software/firmware releases and the fixes being carried in each, and collaborating cross-functionally in the pursuit of case resolution.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding/testing in languages including, but not limited to, C and / or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ Years previous experience in testing and writing automated tests for networking, storage or server platform features/products.
  • 2+ Years of leading engineering support and/or test teams.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years supporting products built for internet scale.
  • Experience operationalizing cloud workflows for storage and networking products.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
