Job Summary

CyberArk is seeking a Solutions Engineer SME – Machine Identity to provide technical expertise and support the sales process for Machine Identity Security solutions across France and other Mediterranean countries. This role involves serving as a Subject Matter Expert within the pre-sales organization, owning the technical aspects of the sales cycle, demonstrating solution value, explaining technical challenges, and mapping customer needs to CyberArk capabilities. The engineer will collaborate with sales executives to articulate how CyberArk’s technology delivers business value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must Have

  • Provide hands-on technical expertise during the sales cycle.
  • Architect CyberArk solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and manage Proof of Concepts (POCs).
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through security best practices.
  • Work with IT security teams, DevOps, compliance teams, and C-level executives.
  • Capture customer requirements, document feature requests, and provide feedback to product management.
  • Assist in responding to RFIs and RFPs.
  • Mandatory French and English language skills.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic security technologies such as SSL/TLS, SSH, PKI, and HSMs.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, including Windows Server, Linux/Unix, Active Directory/LDAP, load balancers, web servers, virtualization, and endpoint security.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and toolsets.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of OIDC and SAML.

Good to Have

  • Experience designing and deploying enterprise security solutions at scale.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC2.
  • Major Cloud Certifications: AWS / Azure / GCP.
  • Kubernetes certifications CKA / CKS.
  • Additional spoken languages: Spanish or Italian.
  • Prior experience in a pre-sales or consulting role within cybersecurity or identity security domains.
  • Hands-on scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation and integration purposes.

CyberArk is seeking a Solution Engineer SME – Machine Identity to provide technical expertise and support the sales process for our Machine Identity Security solutions across France, Spain, Italy, and other Mediterranean countries.

As a Solutions Engineer – Machine Identity, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the pre-sales organization and work closely with our Solution Sales Specialists. Together, you will form an extended specialized sales team in which you will own the technical aspects of the sales cycle. You will be responsible for demonstrating the value of CyberArk solutions during presentations, explaining technical challenges, mapping customer needs to CyberArk capabilities, and offering the expertise required to build customer trust.

You will collaborate closely with sales executives to articulate how CyberArk’s technology delivers business value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely will be key to your success.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Pre-Sales Support: Provide hands-on technical expertise during the sales cycle.
  • Solution Design: Architect CyberArk solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Demonstrations & Proof of Concept (POC): Deliver compelling product demonstrations and manage POCs, ensuring alignment with customer success criteria.
  • Technical Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through security best practices, risk reduction strategies, and solution implementations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with IT security teams, DevOps, compliance teams, and C-level executives to position CyberArk solutions effectively.
  • Documentation & Communication: Capture customer requirements, document feature requests, and provide feedback to product management.
  • Industry Engagement: Support CyberArk events, trade shows, and seminars within the region.
  • RFP Responses: Assist in responding to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and CyberArk capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Langages: French / English Mandatory for this job position
  • Knowledge of cryptographic security technologies such as SSL/TLS, SSH, PKI, and HSMs.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, including Windows Server, Linux/Unix, Active Directory/LDAP, load balancers, web servers, virtualization, and endpoint security.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and toolsets; hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), Configuration Management/Orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Chef, Ansible), and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to drive complex technical discussions and manage customer expectations.
  • Ability to educate and persuade both technical and non-technical audiences regarding security best practices.
  • Proven ability to document technical solutions, meeting notes, and recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Good understanding of OIDC and SAML.
  • Ability to provide detailed feedback to the Product Management team based on customer interactions and market trends.
