Job Overview
Wargaming is looking for a Sound Designer to work on World of Warships Franchise in our brand-new Belgrade office.
The Sound Design Department is responsible for creating sound effects, music, and audio atmospheres for game projects.
The Team strives to work closely with all departments, including the visual and technical departments, and constantly keeps an eye on new technologies and tools in sound design to ensure the best possible sound quality.
What will you do?
- Creating the highest quality sound assets
- Working with the Wwise sound engine
- Asset implementation
- Creating different sound mechanics
- Debugging
- Music production from simple compositions to multi-layered interactive music systems
- The complete in-game voice production process
- Working with VCS
- Continuous iterative improvement of overall audio on the product in a team of like-minded people
- Regular playtests
- Working with feedback, and constantly looking for opportunities to improve the game
- Cross-team collaboration to coordinate necessary and desirable audio tasks on the project
What are we looking for?
- 2 + years of experience as a Sound Designer (linear audio or game sound)
- Interest in video games and interactive audio
- Outstanding portfolio
- Music writing experience
- Deep knowledge of at least one DAW from the development kit (Reaper, Nuendo, etc.)
- Experience with the Izotope RX
- Experience with WWISE audio engine
- Advanced Russian
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher
- Readiness to work in an office in Belgrade (Serbia)
