Rambøll is seeking a Specialist Lead for Drainage on Road and Railway Projects to join their team of drainage experts. The role involves working on significant infrastructure projects, optimizing internal workflows, and developing services within drainage. The Specialist Lead will collaborate with experts in Water, Transport, and other disciplines, facilitating cross-border cooperation, particularly with colleagues in India. Daily tasks include specialist leadership, design of drainage systems, technical documentation, and contributing to tender documents.
Must Have
- Engineer or similar technical background

We are looking into an exciting pipeline of infrastructure projects and therefore need to expand our team of drainage experts, who, in close collaboration with colleagues in Transport, will help develop future road and railway networks.
Your Role
We offer you a leading role where you work at the intersection of experts in Water, Transport, and other disciplines to create integrated solutions. As a Specialist Lead, you will not only have the opportunity to make your mark on significant infrastructure projects but also contribute to optimizing internal workflows and developing our services and competencies in drainage.
Our team of drainage experts is spread across several offices in Denmark but works closely together and shares knowledge across locations. As part of Rambøll, we also collaborate across national borders, including close cooperation with our colleagues in India. As a Specialist Lead, you will actively contribute to facilitating this collaboration and ensuring effective coordination.
Specifically, your daily tasks may include:
- Specialist leadership on drainage projects
- Design of drainage systems for road and railway projects
- Preparation of relevant technical documentation
- Contribute to the preparation of tender documents
About You
You are an engineer or have a similar technical background and have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a consultant, contractor, supplier, or infrastructure manager in drainage and within road and railway projects. You have good collaboration skills and the ability to translate your technical knowledge into value-creating advice for your clients.
We imagine that you particularly have strong competencies in:
- Drainage design
- Dandas graph
- 3D design, preferably in Bentley Open Roads Design and Drainage & Utilities
- Preferably knowledge of Vejvand
- Authority processing, including discharge permits and water inspection protocols
- Tender documents
- Understanding of standards
- Collaboration and communication
- Interface coordination
- Planning of time, resources, and activities
