Job Summary

WebMD is seeking a Senior Clinical Specialist to lead AI content initiatives for healthcare providers and consumers. This operational role involves collaborating with editorial, product, and development teams to ensure accurate, current, and relevant medical information is delivered through AI tools. Key responsibilities include daily content QA, troubleshooting accuracy and formatting issues, evaluating content sources for LLM inclusion, and driving optimization projects for AI interfaces.

Must Have

  • Act as an operational point of contact between editorial and product for daily tasks and issue resolution related to AI initiatives.
  • Lead the daily content QA workflow on AI interface output, identifying and troubleshooting issues related to accuracy, relevance, and formatting.
  • Summarize and relay AI content issues to the editorial and product teams, tracking resolution status.
  • Support the evaluation process by gathering content sources for inclusion in and exclusion from our LLM, by documenting eligibility based on established criteria.
  • Drive implementation of optimization projects, such as content restructuring as needed for our AI tools and interfaces.
  • Implement and test content formatting for unique HCP and consumer needs (point of care, research, etc.)
  • Create and maintain a library of content examples to showcase the AI interface’s value to the business.
  • Participate in product discovery efforts, representing the end-user perspective regarding content and features.
  • Convey content needs and issues to the product team and relay product updates back to the editorial team.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts to streamline the collaboration between editorial and product management.
  • Manage and track project schedules for AI content initiatives activities.
  • Demonstrate excellence in organizational citizenship.
  • Advanced professional clinical degree (PharmD, MSN, NP, PA, etc.), clinical informaticist, or medical librarian
  • 3+ years’ experience contributing to medical content and/or informatics
  • Ability to accurately locate, interpret, and synthesize medical literature
  • Demonstrated interest in and familiarity with AI technologies and machine learning
  • Familiarity with data tracking and reporting tools
  • Strong editorial judgement, organizational ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace)

Description

WebMD seeks a Senior Clinical Specialist to contribute to our AI content initiatives across HCP and DTC. This role is operational, working with editorial teams (creating reference and news content) and product and development teams (developing and validating our LLM and AI tools). This role will focus on executing the AI content strategy as defined by the AI Content Strategy Leads, ensuring we deliver accurate, current, and relevant information to healthcare providers through AI.

Responsibilities:

Required:
