Job Description

The Global Business Intelligence & Analytics (Global BI&A) team at Visa seeks a Sr. Decision Analytics Manager to transform vast data into actionable insights for seamless, secure commerce and leadership decision support. This role involves implementing data-based solutions, analysis, and insights to enhance Visa's value to clients by optimizing authorization, managing authentication/3DS/token lifecycles, and reducing fraud. The manager will develop global analytics insights and dashboards for Client Services & Risk client engagement and internal data-driven strategy, guiding business decisions with data expertise.
Good To Have:
  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD.
  • Proven experience in service level management, SLA reporting, or a similar role within a technology-driven environment.

Position Summary:

The Global Business Intelligence & Analytics (Global BI&A) team has a simple mission: we turn massive amounts of data into actionable insights that ensure seamless, secure commerce experiences across Visa’s physical and digital eco-system, as well as decision support to Visa internal leadership. Our analytic and data professionals deliver on this mission by implementing data-based solutions, analysis, and insights targeted at increasing Visa’s value to clients, such as authorization optimization, effective authentication/3DS/token life cycle management, improving security and reducing fraud rates.

Data analytics is a critical pillar of the Client Services (CS) organization and, as such, this position is an essential component of delivering against the promise and security of the Visa brand. To be successful, you will use strong analytical and leadership skills, contextual business sense and a creative flair to solve real world challenges for Visa and our clients. Your expertise and insights will serve as a beacon to guide business decisions based on data. The role will focus on developing global analytics insights and dashboards covering the entire payment life-cycle for CS & Risk client engagement, as well as internal data-driven strategy. You will have regular exposure to the CS & Risk leadership team, and your actionable data insights will be the change agent, aimed at improving client payment performance holistically via both free and paid analytics support.

Essential Functions:

Will lead analytics and reporting initiatives that deliver actionable, data-driven insights to both internal and external stakeholders, supporting both free and paid client engagement (for issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants, Fintech, etc.). This role requires strong SQL and Tableau skills, as well as strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong ability to translate complex data into meaningful business value. You will work on the innermost of Visa’s core data and systems, and contribute to the development of industry-leading capabilities to enhance Visa and Visa's clients' ability to manage payment lifecycle and fraud holistically. You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver on a dynamic set of needs in a fast-paced environment. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensure data driven decision making is a priority for clients, colleagues, and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Create global data solutions (dashboards & in-depth analysis) to enable CS & Risk Managers to have holistic and effective client engagements (both free and paid), covering issuers, acquirers, merchants/Fintech, processors, etc to improve their overall payment success holistically (including approval, fraud, dispute, etc.) with actionable recommendations.
  • Compare client performance against industry best practices, inject new perspectives with a shrewd eye toward identifying performance and/or profitability improvement opportunities. Identify macro business and market trends that guide areas of future analysis
  • Create internal dashboards to track KPI for top global initiative and enable data driven strategies, translating understanding of data, Visa’s products and services into client engagement strategies that yield financial and performance benefits, such as identifying which clients has what type of auth optimization or fraud reduction opportunities, capture the product adoption & utilization, quantify the business opportunity and ROI
  • Be an expert at getting to the root of a problem, defining business objectives and formalizing data requirements – especially in a fast paced, fluid environment
  • Craft meaningful presentations and insights from complex data with content that clearly presents opportunities in an accurate, understandable and engaging manner to executives
  • Cultivate cross-functional partnerships, building relationship capital that facilitates the advancement of holistic/strategic initiatives. Serve as a strategic advisor to organizational leadership and peers – inclusive of BI&A, and functional teams across Visa.
  • Contribute to a high performing culture that becomes the benchmark for excellence at Visa, mentor and develop more junior team members to ensure we build talent from within

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 130,600 to 200,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
