Job Summary

The Sr. Director, eBay Live Seller Success and Host Operations will lead the global strategy, operations, and enablement framework for eBay’s live commerce sellers. This role focuses on building efficiency, innovation, and scalability to accelerate growth. The leader will design playbooks, metrics, and operational systems to expand the live seller base, ensuring successful, high-quality live commerce experiences globally. The ideal candidate combines operational rigor, strategic innovation, and a passion for empowering sellers in a two-sided marketplace.

Must Have

  • Lead the design and execution of global seller success frameworks for live commerce.

  • 12+ years of experience in operations, ecommerce, or marketplace management roles.
  • Proven success scaling global programs or platforms with measurable efficiency gains.
  • Strong understanding of seller ecosystems and two-sided marketplace dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with detailed operational execution.
  • Experience leading global, cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and process design skills; data-driven approach to problem-solving.

About the Role

This role focuses on building efficiency, innovation, and scalability—identifying where to streamline and where to “break the game” to accelerate growth.

This leader will design the playbooks, metrics, and operational systems to grow our live seller base, ensuring sellers around the world can create successful, high-quality live commerce experiences. The ideal candidate combines operational rigor, strategic innovation, and a passion for empowering sellers in a two-sided marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$250,000 - $333,800

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
