Job Summary

As a Sr. TPM for Core manufacturing services at Fictiv, you will support and enhance critical manufacturing functions while executing core operations. You'll manage post-sales orders and programs in Fictiv China, coordinating with sales, customer program managers, and manufacturing partners. Key responsibilities include scheduling, tracking progress, troubleshooting technical and quality issues, bridging global teams, and ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery from kickoff to shipment. You will also mitigate project risks and provide production status visibility to builders, playing a critical role in Fictiv's platform for hardware manufacturing.

Must Have

  • Manage post-sales orders/programs in Fictiv China.
  • Coordinate with costing & DFM or sales team for order handover.
  • Kick off and schedule orders/programs with manufacturing partners.
  • Manage order/program planning and track progress with manufacturing partners.
  • Troubleshoot technical, quality, and planning problems during production.
  • Bridge communication between global and cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with manufacturing partners for product and process planning and validation.
  • Manage changes internally and externally.
  • Coordinate Fictiv China team for on-time and quality shipment.
  • Provide support for customer complaint handling.
  • College degree in Mechanical Engineering, metalworking manufacturing, or Tooling Design & Manufacture or related engineering field.
  • 10+ years working experience in FATP, OEM/CM for Mechanical hardware manufacturing, or CNC machining/molding/plastic tooling industry.
  • At least 3 years experience in project management roles.
  • Excellent PM skills on planning, scope management, risk management, problem solving, communication, and decision making.
  • Good understanding in quality management, sourcing, and logistics management.
  • Strong business sense including customer expectation management, negotiation, and supplier management capability.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Good to Have

  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience of APQP/PPAP or IQ/OQ/PQ or EV/DV/PV or NPI process.

Job Description

Impact In This Role

Your role as a sr. TPM for Core manufacturing services will be to support and drive improvement to our critical manufacturing functions as well as tactically execute on our core manufacturing operations. We have two sets of customers—our builders, who order parts through us, and our manufacturing partners, who manufacture and assemble these parts—and you’ll take the inputs from our builders and work with our manufacturing partners to deliver on our builders’ expectations. At Fictiv, we believe in creating the world’s premier platform for hardware manufacturing, and you’ll be playing a critical role in making that happen.

You will be responsible for scheduling work orders and act as a sr. TPM to address any in-process questions our manufacturers may raise, provide production status visibility to our builders, and mitigate major project risks that pose a threat to meeting our builders’ specifications.

You will report to the head of program management in Feidi.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responsible for the post-sales orders/programs management in Fictiv China,
  • Coordinate with the costing &DFM or sales team for handing over the orders/programs requirement from the pre-sales quoting phase.
  • Work with the customer program manager to kick off the order/program and schedule the orders/programs to our manufacturing partner..
  • Manage the orders/programs from kickoff till delivery, included below but not limited to -
  • Manage the order/program planning with regularly tracking with manufacturing partners for the progress, ensure the orders/programs are on time and on quality to be shipped out.
  • Understand the customer requirement, leverage your owned or team’s skill set to troubleshoot the problem during trial or production, include technical, quality, planning etc., provide the expertise guidelines to the team and manufacturing partners.
  • Bridge between global and cross functional teams( Fictiv team in US, China, India, Mexico and manufacturing partners in China) for assigned orders/programs, ensure the requirements/problems/program status etc.are clearly communicated internally and externally.
  • Work closely with our manufacturing partners(factory) for product and process planning and validation, in order to have a good preparation before production launch and ensure the production runs smoothly.
  • Follow the procedure to properly manage the change internally and externally.
  • Coordinate the Fictiv China team for on time and on quality shipment for your assigned orders/programs
  • Provide the support to the customer facing and quality team for handling the customer complaint.

Desired Traits

  • College degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, metalworking manufacturing or Tooling Design & Manufacture or related engineering field. PMP Certification is a plus.
  • 10+ years working experience in FATP(Final Assembly Test & Pack) or in OEM/CM for Mechanical hardware manufacturing, or CNC machining/ molding/plastic tooling industry, which include at least 3 years experience in project management roles.
  • Excellent PM skills on planning, scope management,risk management, problem solving skills, communication skill, decision making skill, and etc.
  • Experience of APQP/PPAP or IQ/OQ/PQ or EV/DV/PV or NPI process is a plus.
  • Possesses a good sense of urgency, demonstrated ability of owning and managing delivery schedules across tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding in quality management, sourcing, logistics management.
  • Strong business sense including customer expectation management, negotiation, supplier management capability.
  • You are team-oriented individuals, results-oriented, detail-oriented, data- driven, agile and have a good sense of urgency, Prioritizes multiple projects and tasks effectively
  • Self-starter, manages time efficiently, able to complete work in a timely manner without active supervision.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, experience working in multicultural environments.
