Sr. UI/UX Designer Consultant

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re hiring a Sr. UI/UX Designer Consultant for a fully remote opportunity supporting a rebrand for a sports gaming site. This is a 6-month contract position, working Eastern Time hours.

This is not a typical surface-level design project. Our client is seeking a visionary designer who understands product storytelling, user behavior, and the craft of digital design at a pixel-perfect level. The ideal candidate is someone who can simplify the complex, obsess over the details, and help set a new standard for what a sports gaming platform should feel like.

Sr. UI/UX Designer Consultant Responsibilities:

• Conduct a full heuristic evaluation to deliver a strategic report with prioritized recommendations that include usability and pain points, highlighting opportunities for product storytelling, conversion, and delight.
• Analyze existing user research and data to understand user behavior, validate design concepts, and gather insights to inform design decisions.
• Architect end-to-end customer journeys that connect acquisition, education, trust-building, and conversion seamlessly.
• Rapidly iterate from sketches and low-fi wireframes to pixel-perfect, high-fi prototypes in Figma.
• Translate concepts into high-fidelity, responsive user interfaces for our website. Ensure all designs are visually cohesive, adhere to our brand guidelines, and are ready for implementation.
• Design System Creation.

Sr. UI/UX Designer Consultant Qualifications:

• A strong portfolio demonstrating deep expertise in user-centered design, visual design, and UX strategy for responsive websites.
• 8-10+ years of proven professional experience as a UI/UX Designer or Product Designer.
• Proven experience designing with a mobile-first approach.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma is mandatory.
• A strong grasp of WCAG accessibility standards and best practices for inclusive design.
• Typography & Visual Design: Razor-sharp eye for typography, hierarchy, and visual systems.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently articulate and defend your design decisions.
