About Your Team:
The Peterffy family office is the family office of Thomas Peterffy, founder of Interactive Brokers Group Inc. Its mission is to provide comprehensive support to the family, including long-term wealth management, tax planning and accounting. The Family Office seeks a Staff Accountant to work with its accounting team to support daily accounting operations. The position will report to the Controller.
What will be your responsibilities within IBKR:
- Manage accounts payable process;
- Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger for multiple legal entities;
- Support the monthly close process, including preparation of bank reconciliations, prepare and post journal entries;
- Assist with year-end tax reporting;
- Handle special projects as requested
Which skills are required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting;
- 1 to 3 years of accounting experience preferred;
- Professional and discrete; able to handle sensitive information appropriately;
- Ability to manage large data sets and implement checks and balances;
