Job Summary
Mozilla Finance is responsible for strategic resource allocation and oversees day-to-day financial operations. We’re seeking a results-oriented Staff Financial Analyst to lead core financial planning processes, reporting, and strategic analysis. This role involves consolidating forecasts, driving budget discipline, partnering across functions, and enhancing reporting infrastructure through automation. You will develop creative solutions, deliver compelling work, and balance strategic thinking with attention to detail, collaborating with Finance and company colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
Must Have
- Lead monthly forecast cycle and present insights to Finance leadership.
- Drive consolidated planning process and maintain integrated financial models.
- Develop executive-level reporting, including monthly dashboards, management packages, and Board materials.
- Improve and automate existing reporting processes in Pigment, Looker, and related tools.
- Translate business strategies into financial impact through investment evaluation, sensitivity modeling, and ROI analyses.
- Support transformation of legacy reporting processes to scalable, forward-looking tools and frameworks.
- Partner with accounting during close cycles to ensure accuracy in reported financials and alignment.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of three-statement models and scenario-based forecasts.
- 3+ years experience of independently managing budgets and forecasting.
- 5+ years of experience in Corporate FP&A.
- Bachelor degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Business).
- Experience using planning tools (Pigment, Adaptive).
- Ability to create compelling visualizations and presentations.
- Involvement with month-end close and strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Deep understanding of 3 statement financial modeling and accounting concepts.
- Substantial experience with financial modeling and advanced spreadsheet and data modeling skills (VBA, array functions, Power Pivots).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence through creating fellowship.
- Strong attention to detail; analytical and inquisitive nature.

- Experience with Netsuite.
- Experience with Workday.
- Familiarity with Looker.
- Ability to tackle projects requiring Python, R, or SQL.

Mozilla Finance is responsible for strategic resource allocation and oversees day-to-day financial operations as it scales its mission impact with new and existing products, technology, and business models to serve users better and advance an agenda for a healthier internet.
We’re seeking a results-oriented Staff Financial Analyst to lead core financial planning processes, reporting, and strategic analysis. This role will be responsible for consolidating forecasts, driving budget discipline, partnering across functions, and enhancing our reporting infrastructure through automation and tooling (Pigment, Looker, etc.). This role reports to the Head of FP&A and works closely with senior leaders across the organization.
To succeed, you will need to proactively develop creative solutions to abstract strategic problems, deliver your work in a compelling format, and balance big picture thinking with outstanding attention to detail. Seeking a proactive great teammate to collaborate with Finance and company colleagues, complete tasks, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do:
- Be an effective and memorable presenter, combining storytelling with content and delivery to persuade and encourage teams to take action and prioritize resources
- Lead the team through the monthly forecast cycle, including preparation and presentation of insights to Finance leadership
- Drive our consolidated planning process and maintain integrated financial models (e.g., near/long-range forecasts, scenario planning, variance analysis)
- Develop executive-level reporting, including monthly dashboards, management packages, and Board materials
- Improve and automate existing reporting processes in Pigment, Looker, and related tools
- Translate business strategies into financial impact through investment evaluation, sensitivity modeling, and ROI analyses
- Support transformation of legacy reporting processes to scalable, forward-looking tools and frameworks that deliver accurate and insightful information to the management team with speed and reliability
- Partner with accounting during close cycles to ensure accuracy in reported financials and alignment between actuals and forecasts
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of three-statement models and scenario-based forecasts
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years experience of independently managing budgets and forecasting
- 5+ years of experience in Corporate FP&A, preferably with experience in a high-growth or tech-enabled environment
- Bachelor degree in a quantitative field, such as Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Business
- Experience using planning tools (Pigment, Adaptive, etc.) required
- Experience with Netsuite highly preferred, Workday a plus
- Must exhibit ability to create compelling visualizations and presentations
- Involvement with month-end close and a strong understanding of financial and accounting principles
- Deep understanding of 3 statement financial modeling and accounting concepts
- Flexibility (open to change) and ability to learn on the fly
- Candidates must possess substantial experience with financial modeling and advanced spreadsheet and data modeling skills (including VBA, array functions, Power Pivots, etc) – to develop sophisticated and scalable models
- Familiarity with Looker a plus, with ability to tackle, and succeed with, a diverse array of projects that require varying skills, including Python, R, or SQL
- Strong attention to detail; analytical and inquisitive nature
