Job Description

VIBES Technology BV is seeking a Strategic Business Developer to join its sales team. The company develops B2B software solutions to reduce sound and vibrations in products like cars and wind turbines, impacting sustainable product development. The role involves market research, lead generation, building stakeholder relationships, presenting value propositions, collaborating with internal teams, driving sales pipeline, negotiating deals, and contributing to revenue growth. The ideal candidate will help clients understand the value of VIBES' innovative software.
Good To Have:
  • Experience in selling globally to technical development centers of (automotive) OEMs and tier-1 (automotive) suppliers.
  • Language proficiency in French, German, Dutch, Korean or Japanese (next to English).
Must Have:
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Proactively generate, qualify, and pursue new sales leads.
  • Build and maintain strong multi-level relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Present and position compelling value propositions to C-level executives.
  • Collaborate with Solution Engineers and subject matter experts.
  • Drive and accelerate the sales pipeline from prospecting to closure.
  • Negotiate and close deals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Contribute to overall revenue growth of the organization.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and participate in weekly performance reviews.
  • Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Possess at least 5 years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in solution selling.
  • Exhibit a new business hunter mentality.
  • Have strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Be willing to make international travels multiple times a year.

What you will do

We are a scale-up, tech company with our roots in engineering and as we continue to grow, we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Strategic Business Developer to join our team. We’re committed to empowering companies in the industry with the latest technology and professional support to optimize their design and development processes. Your main responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and analyze competitors.
  • Proactively generate, qualify, and pursue new sales leads.
  • Build and maintain strong multi-level relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Present and position compelling value propositions to various levels, including C-level executives.
  • Define and meet win strategy criteria, collaborating with Solution Engineers and other subject matter experts, to craft specific offerings and technical requirements.
  • Act as a lead in a team when presenting solutions and services to existing or prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality proposals and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive and accelerate the sales pipeline from prospecting to closure.
  • Negotiate and close deals to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Contribute to overall revenue growth of the organization.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and participate in weekly performance reviews.

What do you bring?

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree, for example in International Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field;
  • You have at least 5 years of working experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably in B2B software or SaaS environments;
  • You have a proven track record in solution selling and a new business hunter mentality;
  • You will bring strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts in a relatable way for both technical and non-technical audiences, on multiple levels;
  • Preferably, you have experience in selling globally to technical development centers of (automotive) OEMs, like BMW, Volvo, Hyundai, etc. and tier-1 (automotive) suppliers;
  • A genuine interest in understanding customer pain points and a commitment to providing value-driven solutions;
  • You work structured and can break down complex problems;
  • You have a sharp eye for detail in everything you create;
  • It’s a very big plus if you have (next to English) language proficiency in either French, German, Dutch, Korean or Japanese;
  • You will make international travels, multiple times a year.
