Rippling is seeking a Strategic Finance Associate to join their GTM Finance team, partnering with Customer Support (Cx) and Operations (Ops) to drive strategic and financial initiatives. This role is crucial for owning recurring forums, analyzing new initiatives, tracking performance, managing costs, and partnering with stakeholders. The Associate will draw insights from data and KPIs to enhance the impact of the Cx & Ops organization. Responsibilities include supporting business leaders with data-driven decision-making, modeling new initiatives, presenting to executives for financial planning, developing efficiency metrics, creating forecasting models, managing budgets, and developing dashboards for initiative tracking. Preparation of executive and board meeting materials is also a key responsibility.
Must have:
  • 4+ years of finance experience
  • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with ability to manage time and relationships
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious
  • Passion for fast-paced environments and problem-solving
  • Minimum basic knowledge of SQL

  • Previous experience in high-growth tech company

  • Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Anaplan)

About the role


We're looking to hire a Strategic Finance Associate within the GTM Finance org who will partner with our Customer Support (Cx) and Operations (Ops) teams here at Rippling. Cx & Ops covers Customer Support, Implementation, Professional Services and Customer Success. This role will work directly with senior management within the Cx & Ops organization, and will have significant executive exposure.


Cx & Ops is a critical component of Rippling’s success and this position is fundamental to driving strategic and financial initiatives. This role is responsible for owning recurring Cx & Ops Strategic Finance forums, analysis of new initiatives, performance tracking against plan, management of costs across functions, and partnership with key cross-functional stakeholders. There will be an emphasis on drawing insights from statistical analysis, KPIs, and leading initiatives to further enhance the impact and success of the Cx & Ops Org at Rippling.


We are looking to hire an Associate to be based out of the New York office. This role will work closely with senior management in the Finance and CX teams and will have a high level of executive visibility. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in investment banking, investing, or Finance at a high-growth technology company.



What you'll do

  • Work closely with leaders within the business as well as Revenue Operations and Data Analytics team to support data driven decision making across all Cx & Ops functions
  • Support the launch of new initiatives, for example new service models, pricing packages, product launches etc. through financial modeling and analytics required to support decision making
  • Coordinate with and present to key executives to support Cx & Ops efforts in quarterly and annual strategic and financial planning discussions
  • Develop a greater depth of understanding around Cx & Ops efficiency metrics
  • Partner with the business and cross-functional team members to develop and maintain robust, scalable forecasting models
  • Partner with Cx & Ops leadership to develop and monitor budgets and headcount needs
  • Lead the development of dashboards, in partnership with Data & Revenue Operations to track progress of Cx & Ops initiatives
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for executive review (including for board meetings)

What you'll need

  • 4+ years of experience in finance. Previous experience in a high-growth technology company, investing, and/or investment banking is preferred
  • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills. A track record of building and maintaining complex operating models
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time, deliverables, and cross-functional relationships
  • Organized, attentive to detail, and intellectually curious
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced environment and solving ambiguous, challenging problems.
  • Minimum basic knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with financial planning tools (e.g. Anaplan) and Salesforce is a plus but not required.

Strategic finance at Rippling is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, headcount and budgeting, Board materials, investor relations, and business unit partnership. This function is responsible for setting near and long term financial targets, and then partnering closely with leaders across the whole company to execute on this plan.
