Instawork is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for its Robotics division to oversee the planning, procurement, and logistics for specialized hardware used in robotics data capture. This role involves managing vendor relationships, purchasing inventory, distributing equipment to a global workforce, and sourcing for rapid prototype development. The ideal candidate is an experienced supply chain professional, a problem-solver, and a builder who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.

Must Have

  • Own planning, procurement, and logistics for specialized robotics hardware.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including identifying and onboarding new suppliers.
  • Purchase inventory and manage inbound logistics.
  • Manage distribution of equipment to a distributed workforce in the US and APAC regions.
  • Source products and partners for rapid prototype development.
  • Monitor and communicate distribution network performance by tracking key metrics.
  • At least 4 years of experience managing logistics or supply chain planning for a global product company.
  • Ability to anticipate bottlenecks and issues to keep things running smoothly.
  • Enjoy bringing up new suppliers and creating new global distribution networks.
  • Thrive on ambiguity and work at startup speed.

Good to Have

  • Experience in hardware logistics at an early-stage or mid-stage startup.
  • Experience with material planning or hardware operations management.

The Instawork Robotics Supply Chain Manager will own the planning, procurement, and logistics for the specialized hardware we use for robotics data capture.

  • A supply chain professional, with at least 4 years of experience managing logistics or supply chain planning for a global product company.
  • A problem-solver who looks around corners to anticipate bottlenecks and issues to keep things running smoothly.
  • A builder who enjoys bringing up new suppliers and creating new global distribution networks without a standard corporate playbook.
  • An innovator who thrives on ambiguity and likes to work at startup speed.

  • Experience in hardware logistics at an early-stage or mid-stage startup
  • Experience with material planning or hardware operations management

What You’ll Do:

  • Vendor relationship management - Identify and onboard new suppliers, manage existing hardware vendors.
  • Procurement - Purchase inventory and manage inbound logistics.
  • Logistics - Manage the distribution of equipment to our distributed workforce in the US and APAC regions
  • Prototyping - Source products and partners for rapid prototype development as we research new data collection hardware and equipment.
  • Analyze Performance - Monitor and communicate the performance of our distribution network by tracking key metrics and summarizing insights for the team.

For CA Based Applicants:

  • The base salary for this position is between $100K to $140K
  • This position is eligible for equity in the form of stock options
