System Experience Manual QA Engineer

The System Experience team covers multiple platforms like iOS and macOS, and features like Spotlight, App Icons, and Control Center. The team is looking for a talented quality assurance engineer who is technically savvy, proactive, detail-oriented, and can juggle various tasks efficiently. You will be a member of the software quality engineering team working side by side with engineers on SpringBoard or related projects.

This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong QA experience which will span all phases of development. In early development phases, you will be asked to develop test suites in cooperation with development engineering to test new features bringup. As development progresses, you will work closely with engineers to build and help maintain the test suites. Along the way, you will build knowledge of issues with our products and expand the test suites. A strong candidate will possess the following:

• Proven hands-on experience with manual testing
• Thorough knowledge of macOS and iOS operating systems
• Understanding of ecosystem
• Comfortable using software debugging tools

• Bachelors' degree in computer science or related field. Two years of related professional experience can substitute for the education requirement.
• Minimum 3 year experience in a Software QA Engineer role

• Experience writing and running test plans
• Knowledge of consumer-oriented software development process
• Familiarity with general Software Quality Assurance methodologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven track record of being proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $118,500 and $244,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
