Job Summary
Valeo is seeking a System Technical Project Manager (System TPM) for its Commercial Vehicles team in Prague. This role involves supporting RFQs for Order Intake and providing cross-product technical leadership, primarily for Radar projects. The System TPM will coordinate system-level development across Radar, Cameras, and ECUs, bridging hardware and software domains, and ensuring alignment between engineering teams and customers. This position is ideal for a technically strong system engineer looking to grow into project management and lead project teams.
Must Have
- Apply specific PDP of the Product Group/Product Line following CLEAN Project Management
- Ensure robust design in line with performance and economic targets
- Apply standardization rules and request de-standardization only with sound justification
- Organize and lead all required design reviews
- Ensure design reviews of other networks (Purchasing, Industrial) take place on time
- Represent R&D towards the customer
- Interface with the customer for all R&D topics and cascade requirements internally
- Report and escalate issues to the Project Manager or R&D Manager as needed
- Contribute to identifying needs in resources, equipment and investments
- Prepare a detailed breakdown of activities to meet project milestones
- Track activities and spending to stay within the allocated budget
- Manage daily work of all R&D contributors involved in the project
- Assign work packages to contributors
- Conduct regular reviews with the R&D Manager, Product Manager and Discipline Managers to align needs and availability
- University Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s degree accepted)
- Focus on control engineering, automation or related systems fields
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in system development
- Experience with projects that combine hardware and software
- Knowledge of how electronics, mechanics and software come together in system design
- System engineering background with motivation to move into project management
- Understanding of how systems integrate Radar, Cameras and ECUs
- Ability to lead people on a project level
- Strong communication skills for customer interactions
- Ability to coordinate multiple technical domains

- Automotive experience is preferred
- Experience with RFQs is an advantage

We are looking for a System Technical Project Manager (System TPM) to join our Commercial Vehicles team in our R&D Center in Prague. This role supports upcoming RFQs for Order Intake and provides cross-product technical leadership, mainly focusing on Radar projects but extending to other divisions as needed.
You will coordinate system-level development across Radar, Cameras and ECUs, connect hardware and software domains, and ensure strong alignment between engineering teams and customers.
This position is ideal for a technically strong system engineer who wants to grow into project management and lead people on a project level.
YOUR CHALLENGES?
Accountable for the Deliverables
