Database Administrator (DBA)

CodeNinja is seeking a mid-senior level Database Administrator (DBA) to ensure the reliability, performance, security, and operational excellence of its database platforms. The role emphasizes automation, cloud database services, and collaboration with application teams, moving beyond traditional DBA responsibilities to build, scale, and operate intelligent systems for global enterprises.

Must Have

• Administer, maintain, and support production and non-production database environment
• Automate routine DBA tasks to reduce manual effort and operational risk
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for database changes
• Operate and support cloud-managed database services
• Advise teams on database selection, configuration, and scaling strategies
• Strong SQL expertise with hands-on experience in performance tuning
• Deep knowledge of at least one major database platform (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle), with working familiarity across others
• Experience with cloud database services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred) and Git-based workflows
• Scripting and automation skills using Python or similar languages
• Experience with CI/CD practices for database changes and schema management frameworks
• Observability experience, including metrics, logging, and alerting for database systems
