Job Description

Hawk-Eye Innovations seeks a Systems Administrator - Platform Migration & Merge Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Basingstoke (hybrid). This role is crucial to the Collaboration Enhancement Programme across Sony Sports Businesses. Responsibilities include researching, testing, and implementing solutions to improve collaboration tools, migrating user data between Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 instances, merging data across Slack and Atlassian platforms, developing a detailed programme specification, and presenting a costed proposal. The ideal candidate possesses strong administrative knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Confluence, Jira, and cloud migration tools like Movebot and CloudM. Experience with user and data migration/merging across these platforms is essential. The role requires excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Systems Administrator - Platform Migration & Merge Specialist

Hi, I’m Andy Calvert, IT Director and hiring manager for this role. I’m excited to invite you to apply to join our team as a Systems Administrator at Hawk-Eye Innovations. Reporting to the Collaboration Architect, this role is instrumental in delivering the Collaboration Enhancement Programme across all Sony Sports Businesses. If you would be interested in researching, testing, and implementing solutions to improve collaboration tools, enhance user experience, and streamline operations, then this could be the role for you!

Location: Basingstoke (hybrid)

Job Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the technical requirements and objectives of the Collaboration Enhancement Programme.

  • Assist in designing and delivering a programme that improves collaboration across the organisation.

  • Research, test, shortlist, and select the most suitable collaboration tools and solutions.

  • Support the Collaboration Architect in defining the programme objectives and developing an implementation strategy.

  • Operate and administer tools required for solution deployment, merging, migration, and transformation activities.

  • Develop and document a detailed Collaboration Enhancement Programme Specification of Requirement Brief.

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Sony Sports Businesses, departments, and stakeholders to ensure programme success.

  • Conduct and oversee research, pilots, and proof-of-concept projects.

  • Present a costed programme proposal with quantified deliverables and enhancements.

  • Secure stakeholder consensus and necessary approvals for programme implementation.

  • Deliver the programme within the agreed timeframe and budget constraints.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong administrative knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Confluence, and Jira.

  • Experience with migration and merging tools for:

    • Google Workspace: Migrating users and data (Users, Gmail, Calendar, Drive & Docs, Chat) between instances.

    • Microsoft 365: Migrating users and data (Users, Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams chats) between instances or from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace.

    • Slack: Merging users and data between instances.

    • Atlassian: Merging users and data between instances.

  • Strong administrative expertise in MS Entra, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Atlassian, and Slack.

  • Familiarity with cloud migration tools such as Movebot and CloudM.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
