Job Description

This Systems Engineering role involves designing and integrating systems and applications into microcontroller components for the electronic communications industry. Responsibilities include developing customer application support for NXP ARM-based microcontrollers, creating software examples, and developing C/C++ code for embedded systems. The role also requires conducting embedded peripheral testing, chip debugging using various instruments, and testing chip signals. Candidates will manage source code, record test results, and present technical materials.
Must have:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • Knowledge about various ARM-based microcontrollers.

Job Description:

Design and integrate systems and applications into microcontroller components into a complete product for the electronic communications industry. Responsible for electronics engineering duties in furtherance of Edge Processing business unit. Develop customer applications support of NXP ARM-based microcontrollers. Create software examples for peripherals and develop C/C++ code for embedded systems. Conduct embedded peripheral testing and chip debugging with daily utilization of IDE tools, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, and various test instruments. Test chip signals, rise times, timing, clocks, etc. Responsible for source code management, recording test results, and presenting technical materials.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering, foreign equivalent or related field.

Required skills:

Position requires knowledge gained via completion of a graduate-level course, Graduate Assistant, internship or related occupation involving:

  • Knowledge about various ARM-based microcontrollers;
  • C/C++ code development for embedded systems including various peripherals;
  • Embedded peripheral testing and chip debugging with daily utilization of IDE tools, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, and various test instruments;
  • Testing chip signals, rise times, timing, clocks, etc.; and
  • Source code management and recording test results.
