Job Description

CAE is a global leader in simulation and training technology for pilots and flying personnel. The German subsidiary develops, produces, and supports advanced flight and land simulation training devices and networked simulation applications. This role, based in Stolberg, seeks a Team Leader for Integrated Product Support. Responsibilities include disciplinary and technical leadership of the Data Control Center, ILS, and Logistics group, managing documentation, configuration, obsolescence, and logistic support analyses, and developing service concepts.
Must have:
  • Lead Integrated Product Support group (Data Control Center, ILS, Logistics).
  • Manage resource allocation and preparation for the group.
  • Coordinate central document management and HW/SW configuration.
  • Ensure timely project documentation delivery and baseline creation.
  • Oversee ILS activities and obsolescence management.
  • Conduct and coordinate Logistic Support Analysis (LSA).
  • Support Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
  • Maintain and coordinate ILS-relevant databases.
  • Create and coordinate ILS documents; contribute to maintenance manuals.
  • Develop service concepts for ILS and Logistics.
  • Assist with bid preparation.
  • Optimize structures and processes within the area of responsibility.
  • Hold a university degree in a technical or economic field.
  • Possess several years of professional experience in relevant areas.
  • Demonstrate several years of leadership experience.
  • Exhibit strong technical-economic understanding.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Strong team, leadership, communication, negotiation, and customer orientation skills.

About This Role

We are the subsidiary of a world-leading provider of simulation and training technology for pilots and flying personnel. We develop, produce, and support state-of-the-art flight and land simulation training devices as well as networked simulation applications. Our approximately 550 employees in Germany work in international teams and face exciting challenges daily.

To strengthen our team at the Stolberg (near Aachen) location, we are looking for a:

Team Leader Integrated Product Support (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Disciplinary and technical leadership of the Integrated Product Support group, consisting of the Data Control Center, ILS, and Logistics departments.
  • Responsibility for the preparation and resource allocation for the assigned group.
  • Interface, collaboration, and coordination with other team leaders and other CAE locations.
  • Coordination, design, and control of tasks and requirements for the central document management system and HW/SW configuration management.
  • Responsibility for the timely compilation and delivery of project-related documentation as well as the creation and release of “baselines”.
  • Responsibility for carrying out and coordinating all ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) activities and obsolescence management.
  • Responsibility for carrying out and coordinating LSA (Logistic Support Analysis) and all related analyses according to common standards.
  • Support for FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System).
  • Responsibility for the maintenance and coordination of ILS relevant databases.
  • Responsibility for the creation and coordination of documents in the ILS area.
  • Responsibility for contributing to the creation of maintenance manuals.
  • Development of service concepts (ILS, Logistics) as a “Regional Player” in coordination with the “Global Customer Service” department in Montreal.
  • Support in bid preparation.
  • Optimization of existing structures and processes within the area of responsibility.

Your Profile:

  • Successfully completed university of applied sciences degree in a technical or economic field.
  • Several years of professional experience in comparable fields.
  • Several years of leadership experience.
  • Technical-economic understanding.
  • Knowledge of Bundeswehr processes desirable.
  • Very good English language skills, written and spoken.
  • Availability for travel.
  • Team, leadership, and communication skills, persuasion and negotiation skills, customer orientation.
