Seeking a highly skilled Monthly Maintenance Engineer with expertise in BigFix, automation tools, Windows, Linux, and vulnerability management to support and enhance the reliability and security of our Cloud infrastructure. The role involves planning and executing scheduled maintenance, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and process automation across cloud environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, security, and application teams to ensure timely updates, compliance, and system integrity while reducing downtime and improving overall resilience.
Good To Have:
  • Certifications in BigFix, Windows Server Administration, Linux, or vulnerability management tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of security standards such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001, or industry regulations (PCI-DSS, GDPR).
Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in system maintenance, patch management, or vulnerability remediation.
  • Hands-on experience with BigFix or equivalent endpoint management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) operating systems.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar.
  • Practical experience in vulnerability scanning tools and frameworks (e.g., Qualys, Nessus, Tenable.io).
  • Understanding of vulnerability assessment, remediation workflows, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams and manage multiple maintenance schedules simultaneously.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and reliability.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills.

Scope:

The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, security, and application teams to ensure timely updates, compliance, and system integrity while reducing downtime and improving overall resilience.

Our current technical environment:

  • Microsoft Azure
  • VMware ESXi

What you’ll do:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute monthly maintenance activities including patching, updates, and configuration changes across Windows and Linux servers.
  • Manage and deploy security patches and updates using BigFix, ensuring alignment with enterprise policies and SLAs.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation in collaboration with security teams, ensuring critical issues are resolved promptly.
  • Automate routine maintenance tasks, deployments, and reporting using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or other scripting frameworks.
  • Monitor systems during maintenance windows to ensure availability and performance stability.
  • Document processes, maintenance schedules, risk mitigation plans, rollback procedures, and post-maintenance reports.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for issues arising during or after maintenance and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure maintenance activities align with business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Support incident response and recovery efforts related to patching, configuration drift, or security vulnerabilities.
  • Continuously improve maintenance processes through automation, reporting, and optimization initiatives.

What we are looking for:
