Technical Delivery Lead, AWS Migration (remote Europe)

Lead a technical team for a large-scale AWS Migration Program, focusing on either mass migration automation and KPIs or complex modernization of Tier 1 banking systems. Responsibilities include owning delivery quality, optimizing migration processes, designing architecture, assessing risks, providing technical guidance, and driving capacity planning. This role requires deep expertise in AWS migration tools, Windows/Linux on VMware, and automation scripting.

Must Have

• Lead a technical team (5–12 engineers), acting as the owner for delivery quality, throughput, and technical standards.
• Govern delivery KPIs (automation rate, cost, velocity) and optimize tool-based migration processes (MGN, CloudEndure) for Mass Migration.
• Own architecture design and risk assessment for complex Tier 1 workloads, including replatforming and database modernization for Modernization.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance, troubleshooting patterns, and ensuring Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates are scalable and secure.
• Drive capacity planning and align technical roadmaps with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
• 8+ years in cloud engineering/migration with at least 3 years leading technical teams.
• Deep expertise in AWS migration tools (MGN, CloudEndure, DMS) and modernization patterns.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/Oracle) running on VMware vSphere/ESXi.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Terraform, CloudFormation, Bash/PowerShell).

Good to Have

• Experience in the Financial Services sector or with regulated banking workloads.
• AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certifications.

We are looking for a Technical Delivery Lead to drive the technical operations of our large-scale AWS Migration Program. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers and act as the technical anchor for moving workloads from on-premise VMware to AWS.

Depending on your specific expertise and the program's needs, you will lead one of two critical streams:

1. Mass Migration: Leading a high-velocity stream focused on automation, process optimization, and governing throughput KPIs for volume migrations.

2. Complex Modernization: Acting as the chief technical authority for Tier 1 critical banking systems, focusing on refactoring, deep architectural challenges, and risk mitigation.

Location 🌍 Remote position open to candidates in the Europe.

Contract Type ✍️ This position is open for candidates interested in Business-to-Business (B2B) contract position in countries in Europe. Please note this is a contract role for approximately 3 years.
