Job Summary
Behaviour Interactive is seeking a passionate and creative Technical Designer intern for Winter 2026 in Montreal. This hybrid role involves working on high-quality character assets, collaborating with artists and designers, and contributing to the visual storytelling of a new IP. The intern will provide technical documentation, follow production pipelines, develop core game features, troubleshoot, and identify design tool needs. This is a full-time, paid internship offering a unique experience in a fast-paced gaming environment.
Must Have
- Send resume and express passion for video games
- Work 37.5 hours/week for 4 months starting January 2026
- Eligible to work full-time in Quebec, Canada
- Provide clear and detailed technical documentation
- Follow production pipeline and technical guidelines
- Develop core game features
- Act as a technician for design topics, providing troubleshooting and support
- Identify design tool needs and collaborate on implementation

In this role you will:
- Provide clear and detailed technical documentation to the design team.
- Follow the production pipeline of features, applying technical guidelines and best practices.
- Develop core game features, working with other disciplines to tackle technical challenges.
- Act as a technician for specific design related topics, providing troubleshooting and support the team by debugging and optimizing yours and others work.
- Identify the need for design tools, working with programmers on their implementation and ensuring the smooth deployment to the design team.
What we are looking for:
- Studies in the relevant field.
- Technical skills and knowledge of game engine.
- Proficient with visual scripting tools (Unreal Blueprints, Unity Bolt).
- Experience with scripting (C#, C++, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with prototyping is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English, French is a plus.
