You will play a critical role in leading the planning and execution of cross-functional engineering projects that shape eBay’s global customer support experience.

You will manage project planning, serve as a Scrum Master, work closely with the Customer Support Program Office for quarterly intake evaluation, and act as the spokesperson for the Customer Support Platform Engineering team in global project calls.

Your work will involve tight coordination with stakeholders, engineers, and program leads across time zones—timezone flexibility is not optional; it is essential.

You are naturally curious about people, processes, and systems, and you bring the ability to uncover underlying challenges and craft pragmatic, scalable solutions.

This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in running Scrum teams, managing project planning and execution, and a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects. While an engineering background is not required, prior experience working in software development organizations is highly preferred.

What You Will Do

  • Own end-to-end project planning and execution for technical initiatives across the CS Platform team, from intake through delivery and change management.
  • Act as Scrum Master—form and facilitate Agile teams, run daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring blockers are addressed swiftly and goals are met.
  • Collaborate with the CSMT Program Office to evaluate project intake requests each quarter, assess feasibility, align priorities, and contribute to capacity planning.
  • Work closely with product managers, technical leads, and engineers to drive delivery of service-oriented applications and platform tools used by customer support agents.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, backlogs, roadmaps, and timelines, ensuring clarity of scope, alignment on priorities, and timely delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the CS Platform team in cross-functional project discussions—clearly communicating status, risks, and trade-offs to global stakeholders.
  • Track and manage change requests, mid-cycle scope adjustments, and their impacts on delivery timelines.
  • Ensure that project documentation, updates, and reporting artifacts are consistent, up to date, and aligned with eBay’s internal standards.
  • Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement, supporting team efficiency, transparency, and quality.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline; formal education in project management, business, or engineering is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, Business Systems Analysis, or Technical Product Management roles.
  • Strong experience managing Scrum teams and leading project planning and execution in a software development environment.
  • Proven success managing globally distributed engineering teams and coordinating across multiple time zones.
  • Deep understanding and practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies; Scrum Master certification is a plus.
  • Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and other Agile project tracking systems.
  • Ability to create, manage, and communicate clear project plans, and adapt to evolving priorities while keeping stakeholders aligned.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and documentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements, identify risks early, and collaborate closely with engineering to ensure delivery success.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence without authority, lead cross-functional alignment, and represent your team with clarity and confidence.
  • A growth mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for driving executional excellence across distributed teams.
