Your daily life

Within the Tactical Vehicles and Systems activity, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site specializes in the production of land and airborne weapon systems (mortars, ammunition, rockets, etc.), force protection systems, and zone control. With its 450 employees, engineers, technicians, and specialized workers, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site ensures research and development, production, testing, as well as all the necessary "support" functions for the design of high-performance systems essential to the success of operational missions. Thales has formed, with the German defense group DIEHL, a Joint-Venture "JUNGHANS T2M" which has 165 employees, allowing the two companies to combine their expertise in electronics and precision mechanics and thus become one of the world leaders in the field of ammunition fuses. This Joint-Venture is also present on the La Ferté Saint Aubin site.

• The PDA participates in responses to calls for tenders for its products, prepares and attends gates, the PDA issues the DVA to outline the technical solution and report technical, as well as schedule, risks and opportunities, before costing by the business lines to guarantee the right level of competitiveness.
• The Product Design Authority (PDA) implements the PLA's product policy through projects contracted internally or with the client.
• For its products, the PDA is the technical interface with the client.
• It defines technical solutions in accordance with industrial and service needs.
• In relation with the EDM, the PDA guarantees the satisfaction of the QCD performance objectives of its products throughout the product lifecycle.
• The PDA advises the PLA for the construction of product policies and solution roadmaps by relying on its RETEX captured during developments, during production, or during operational use of its products. The PDA and all business teams are also proactive in terms of product innovation given technological evolutions.
• The PDA is responsible for controlling all technical risks and opportunities, as well as the evolutions of its products, and is therefore a decision-maker in CCB.
• The PDA ensures, in relation with industrialization, the industrial feasibility of its products according to rate and cost objectives.
• The PDA is also the arbiter of the right balance between the acquisition cost and the total cost of ownership of its products by clients in accordance with the product policy defined by the PLA/PLM duo.
• The PDA is responsible for the maintenance of its product and consequently for the treatment of obsolescence.
• The PDA guarantees support to industry to ensure production and the treatment of technical facts in collaboration with the PPTM and the RPS.
• The PDA is responsible for the configurations of its products.
• The PDA is the technical responsible for passing DDQS reviews.

Your profile

• Do you have experience in the field of defense and/or aeronautics, drone systems, navigation, guidance, and C2?
• Do you master VTS-FR products, operational uses, and are you a recognized industrialist?
• Do you have excellent client, management, and development team relationship skills?
• Do you demonstrate a strong will for continuous improvement and an ability to develop a strategic vision: you are capable of integrating and even anticipating the different elements of your environment to guide teams through the challenges raised by competitiveness?
• Do you have knowledge in data model-based developments, simulation, IVVQ, RAMST, pyrotechnics?
• Do you have a customer orientation to develop for and with the client to ensure their satisfaction?
• Do you know how to rely on external partners to meet our challenges?
• Do you know how to take a step back and fully embrace the tactical dimension of management while mastering the operational and questioning the strategic dimension?
• Do you practice professional English?
