Position Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, technically savvy SEO professional to join our SEO Center of Excellence as a Technical Search/Technical SEO Specialist. This role focuses on managing the technical SEO health of Autodesk.com—ensuring our massive digital ecosystem remains crawlable, indexable, and optimized for organic visibility.
You’ll own the monitoring, analysis, and resolution of issues across broken links, sitemaps, robots directives, structured data, redirects, verification files, and more. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring our web infrastructure supports world-class search performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and resolve technical SEO issues including broken links, redirect errors, crawl anomalies, and indexation problems
- Maintain and optimize XML sitemaps, robots.txt directives, meta tags, and canonicalization rules
- Audit and implement structured data (schema.org/JSON-LD) to enhance search visibility
- Support site migrations, redesigns, and URL changes by managing redirect mapping and SEO QA
- Collaborate with web engineering and content teams to troubleshoot site performance issues affecting search (e.g., Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile friendliness)
- Partner with analytics and insights teams to track technical SEO KPIs, and surface opportunities for improvement
- Document processes, maintain technical SEO playbooks, and advocate for SEO best practices across cross-functional teams
- Stay current on search engine algorithm updates, crawling/indexing trends, and technical SEO tooling advancements
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in technical SEO
- Strong knowledge of site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and structured data implementation
- Experience with tools like Screaming Frog, Google Search Console
- Familiarity with robots.txt, XML sitemaps, redirects (301/302), hreflang, canonicalization, and schema markup
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on technical challenges
- Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and influence engineering priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical SEO experience on large-scale, enterprise websites
- Experience with tools like Lumar, SEMrush and log file analysis platforms
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals and ability to collaborate with engineering on performance optimization
