Job Summary

ReversingLabs is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join their team, focusing on cybersecurity threat intelligence and malware analysis platforms. The role involves creating and maintaining user guides, deployment documentation, and reference materials for security professionals and developers. Key responsibilities include documenting REST APIs, collaborating with engineering, and maintaining a Docusaurus-based documentation site using a docs-as-code methodology. Strong English and technical skills in Git/GitLab, Docusaurus, and Linux command-line are essential.

Must Have

  • Create and maintain user guides, deployment documentation, and reference materials.
  • Document REST APIs, including authentication flows and request/response formats.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on new features and API changes.
  • Maintain Docusaurus-based documentation site.
  • Write technical content on appliance deployment, malware analysis, and threat intelligence.
  • Proven technical writing experience, ideally in cybersecurity or enterprise software.
  • Familiarity with docs-as-code approach.
  • Working knowledge of Docusaurus or similar static site generators.
  • Proficiency with Git/GitLab version control workflows.
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and data formats.
  • Ability to understand and document technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong English skills.
  • Technical skills to use Confluence, Google Suite, and markup files.
  • Experience with command-line interface on Linux-based OS.

Good to Have

  • Experience documenting cybersecurity products or concepts.
  • Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
  • Understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud deployments.
  • Background in working with malware analysis, threat intelligence, or security operations.

ReversingLabs is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our Technical Writing Team. You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation for our cybersecurity threat intelligence and malware analysis platform suite, including Spectra Analyze, Spectra Detect, Spectra Intelligence, and related products.

We operate using a docs-as-code methodology. Strong English skills are a must, and technical skills are required to use Git/GitLab, Confluence, Google Suite, and markup files for editing documentation. You will be expected to maintain our Docusaurus site, interact with our RESTful APIs, and use the command-line interface on a Linux-based OS.

What You'll Do:

  • Create and maintain user guides, deployment documentation, and reference materials for security professionals and developers
  • Document REST APIs, including authentication flows, request/response formats, and integration patterns
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to document new features, product releases, and API changes
  • Maintain our Docusaurus-based documentation site, ensuring clear information architecture and excellent user experience
  • Write technical content covering appliance deployment and configuration, malware analysis workflows, threat intelligence integration and file inspection processes

Requirements

  • Proven technical writing experience, ideally in cybersecurity, developer tools, or enterprise software
  • Familiarity with the docs-as-code approach to documentation
  • Working knowledge of Docusaurus (or similar static site generators)
  • Proficiency with Git/GitLab version control workflows including branching, merging, and pull requests
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs, including HTTP methods, authentication, request/response structures, and common API patterns
  • Knowledge of JSON, XML, and data formats
  • Ability to understand and document technical concepts for both developer and end-user audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
